it’s ART JOURNALING MONDAY on WEDNESDAY

this week is SUCH a screwed up week.. with the long weekend, the release.. STRESS!

Hope you are all having a great week so far.. I am excited for Friday where I am finally able to attend SCRAPFEST in OSHAWA as a guest and shopper rather than a vendor.  I have had many emails asking why I was not going to be there.  I figured I would answer here :).  I AM TOO BUSY!!! LOL.  I always try to make time for an event such as Scrapfest.. an amazing place where everyone shares the same passion.   Inspiration is OOZING.  Friendships are made and remade.. I just love it.. but having just  done Scrapfest in Minneapolis, I just didn’t have the strength so close in time to make Scrapfest an event that it deserves to be… SOOOOO.. Helenabella, Denabella, Angela (bella) and I-abella will be walking the show with our VIP tickets (that’s a fancy word for buying in advance) in hand and our wallets ready to be opened and just chill and ENJOY.  We are so excited!  So if you will be at Scrapfest and you see us wandering aimlessly, please come and say hi 🙂

So yesterday Jayden brought home a Fancy Nancy book.. has anyone read them?  I have been reading them for ages and actually the illustrations look so much like our Mo Manning!.. But FINALLY, Jayden is enjoying the books and now of course, I am stuck with writing fancy words with meanings in brackets..LOL.. This phase should last only a few EXCRUCIATING (that’s a fancy word for painful..LOL) days.. then I will be done.

Ok enough of my blabla.. let’s talk ART JOURNALING MONDAY (on wednesday).  I am hoping that your journals are becoming JUICY and CHUNKY (that’s fancy for CRUNCHY..LOLOLOL.. I kill me)

Our theme this week was to work with your favorite COLOUR on your journal page..   I am hoping that even if you aren’t submitting (shame on you) you are playing along at home (that’s FANCY for YOU BETTER SUBMIT NEXT WEEK..LOL) SOMEBODY STOOOOOPPPPP ME…..

How much do I love these entries?  OMG.. LOVE.

Next week’s theme is SPRAY AND STENCILS as a background on your page.  Now it doesn’t necessarily need to be stencils.. you can use masks, doilies, punched out paper as your stencil, hmmm… lace.. anything you have!  Now if you don’t have spray ink.. you can put a few drops of inkpad refills into water in a spray bottle, shake and spray away!  You can even use RIT dye.. Food coloring.. Kool aid.. mix it up with water and spray away.

a little doodle here.. a little doodle there.. here a doodle there a doodle…

Hiya sistahs!

I don’t know about you but I can’t sit still when watching tv.  My favorite show right now is X factor.  It’s the type of show where I get depressed when it’s over 🙁

So what I do if I would like to take a break from cutting rubber ?  I DOODLE.. I ZENTANGLE in my moleskine (we call it a “moley” in Bellaland).. It’s very relaxing..soothing..mind numbing..  Sometimes you need a mind numbing activity no?

So I decided once my doodles were done, to use my copics.. play around with combos.. I whipped out my Copic Swatch Book (WHICH I LOVE) and while I was watching my show I just coloured away and  I was VEEEERRRRY clever and marked down the colors I was using.  I was wanting to find colors I NEEDED to have in my journaling kit on the go.. and I like these that I chose.. if anyone sees a combo that they recommend that isn’t there, please leave me a comment! would love to try it out on my next doodle page!

I just like how that sounds.. WEIGHTWATCHERSWEDNESDAY…LOL

We can upload recipes on wednesdays in the comment section.. we can blab and complain.. LOL.. or actually be positive and talk about how well we are all doing .. *CHOKE*

Honestly sistahs.. I don’t have a muffin top.. i have a MEATLOAF top..LOL.. I am turning 40 in June and I need to shrink back to my prebirth weight.. I mean the weight BEFORE I was born..LOL.

So are you in?  I am always interested in hearing about other people’s diets, plans, ways of life..

Why can’t it be that the more I eat, the more I lose.. I would be a WAIF..LOL

Hiya sistahs 🙂

I hope you had a great weekend!  It was gloomy and rainy so we cuddled all weekend.. and I cut rubbah WHILST cuddling 🙂

So the theme this week was adding a PHOTO to your journal page.   I am trying to give different themes to help you explore different avenues and see what style you like best.  I am still exploring but having a great time doing it!!

and I am EXHAUSTED.. it’s been a crazy couple of weeks and I am just feeling it now.  I need a good COLLAPSE and then I will feel all better.  I SO needed the page I did today..  It was necessary for my health! LOL

Now for the tidbit of GREAT news!

Well peeps, the time has come to unveil just a little portion of what our “surprise” is.    If any of you shopped at the URBAN SCRAPYARD a couple of years ago and met Angela Urbano, the owner and artistic director, you will know her very well.  While designing the most PHENOM clean, graphic layouts to working with Quickutz and designing one of their most popular dies sold to date, Angela is one talented SISTAH!

Angela was just the person I needed to enter my life when she did.  I received a random email from her out of the blue.. I was wondering why..   I was basically looking for “her” without knowing that it would be “her” if you understand what I mean.  She filled a very big void, both in the store and in my personal creative life.

From being  friendly retail competitors to our first meeting a few weeks ago, we became fast friends.  Our two worlds literally collided.  LITERALLY.  Our styles, our demeanor, our LOOK (LOL).. we are complete opposites.. but there is ONE COMMON THREAD that runs through both of our veins. our bodies. our souls.  And that is PASSION.  Passion for life, for the arts, and most of all a passion for creativity.

Angela will be teaching at Stamping Bella.. sharing her passion with all of you.  Sharing her style.. Sharing how her life has changed in the last few years.  You will be thrilled to meet her, reunite with her.. and learn from her.  I am so excited to have her so close J

But it does not end there.  We are both working together on something new and exciting.  Stay TUNED.
