Hiya sistahs.. I am SO productive this week.. LOL it’s only TOOSDAY. But still.. you know those days where you feel you got SO MUCH DONE? that’s how I feel 🙂
Today’s theme for AJ TOOSDAY was this inspiration pic:
I just loved the texture, the color and how the book will look on it’s side with that “crunchy” page LOL
I found a bag of buttons and goodies yesterday and had a FIELD day with my page.. I also couldn’t resist doodling my signature little girl in one of the frames 🙂

My sistahs, is it just me or are the weeks flying by????
Here we are again with Art Journaling toosday! And the theme this week was to use a piece of hand painted, printed, sketched paper in your collage….
Here i sketched a little protective mamabear watching her little ones… I guess I am projecting, as I had an “issue” at Jayden’s camp today and they heard me ROAR! LOL.. so this is what came out. Instead of using a printed piece of paper, I used a hand drawn sketch of the girl.. I watercolored her and then placed her gently (don’t wanna piss her off LOL) on top of a collage. I added the studio calico little veneer birds (WHICH I LOVE).. and stamped a word and a number and VOILA! a page in my Moleskine journal was born :).. ah I feel better now. Sometimes words don’t depict my feelings.. sometimes an image says it all. I love her fishy lips..LOL

And I feel da MOJO coming back 🙂 I do!!!! YEEHAAAA!!! I made a mess on my table much to Ryan’s chagrin
and this is a “tame” mess..LOL
and I let my collaging instinct go CUH-RAZY! Came up with lots of neat pages you may have seen on my instagram feed.. but will show some goodies throughout the week. I decided that I NEED to be crafty EVERY DAY.. for my sanity.. I can’t recommend it enough.. whether it means sticking something down, scribbling, writing, decorating your calendar… whatever.. one NEEDS this.. or maybe it’s just moi? LOL
Ok this week’s theme for AJ TOOSDAY (on TOOSDAY I might add).. is to make a GRID. Grids are phenom for card layouts, scrapbooking pages, art journaling pages.. as noisy and as messy as I am, I enjoy a clean nice page.. weird no? Sometimes I need the “BUSY” but most times I see myself needing some white space to rest my eyes… whats your style?
Ok here is my page. Have I mentioned I am obssessed with security envelopes and their patterns? If any of my sistahs get some good ones from their bills with interesting patterns, feel free to mail me some :).. I love (1) mail and i love (2) security envelopes (oh have I mentioned that? LOL). So on my grid, I punched out 9 squares of security envelopes that I have collected and purchased for a clean background.. added a vintage foil star, bingo number and vintage image and a wee teeny tiny piece of tape stapled to the top to balance it out… I have really been interested OBSSESSED with vintage photos.. but not just any photo.. photos that speak to me.. faces that express a feeling I am feeling.. whether it be personal, friendship, family.. This photo just caught my eye.. a page dedicated to my besties :).. clean and simple.

I took some watercolor inks (you can use acrylics, watercolors.. whatevah).. and I made a pattern of hearts on a page

Well, Art Journaling TOOSDAY has been on hiatus for a while and never thought it affected anyone… well in fact it has.. and I am happy that I heard from sistahs that they loved AJ toosdays and loved an excuse to do something creative in their journals.. I BE HAPPY! lol
so here we go.. this week was an anything goes 🙂

After YEARS of art journaling, and searching for my style.. and for ME (ps still searching).. I have realized that I LOVE drawing faces, I love watercolor, and I love collage. So I am sticking to it! LOL

So our theme for this week was to use a bit of NEON on our page.. I just love neon paints 🙂

ok So this week’s theme was to use the NEGATIVE of a punch on your page.. so here goes!
Here's my page.. used fluorescent acrylics, gesso, crayons, collage.. you name it. Also the negative punch I used was the heart under the envelope window 🙂

So today’s theme for Art Journaling TOOSDAY was a free for all… let’s see what da aj sistahood came up with shall we?
I decided to use our new DUDA stamp YOURS TRULY… I so love that stamp so much!
I also was playing around with my art supplies and found a new technique for colouring in mixed media which I will share at a later date.. so here’s my spread with ribbon and scribble and oil pastels and vintage music sheets…

Ok as you may know.. every week is an “open week”… I just want you to play and have fun.. I will assign a prompt and if it inspires you, then use it, if not, just make any page that inspires you and send it in easy peasy n’k?
Next week’s theme is to use the “NEGATIVE” of a punch… so if you punch out a heart, I want you to use the frame of the heart or the “heart hole” in the paper… make sense? or you can draw a shape, cut it out and use the negative…

So for today’s theme I took out my watercolors which I have been playing with lately and took out a piece of yummy watercolor paper and went a bit “mental”.. LOL.. But I LOVE the results!

You can get the markers and spread with water.. yum.. crayons (even my kids know NOT TO TOUCH MY CARNATION PINK!!).. go crazy k?
