Hope you had a great weekend.. We were home most of the weekend and Jayden looks at Ryan and says last night.. “daddy, I can’t believe HOW FAST the weekend flies!”… Ryan and I shared a look and after they went to bed he says to me.. “did this weekend feel like 3 weeks to you?.. I responded “no.. 5 weeks..”.. LOL
So today is AJ monday.. a small one but that’s ok :).. now I want you to understand that just because it is called AJ monday doesn’t mean that your piece HAS to be in a journal.. there are days when I want to work on a canvas, or a canvas board.. or a sheet of paper .. or wood! Those all count in AJ monday.. know why? Cuz da bella said so..LOL
So the theme this week was to paint your HEART out.. and that’s what I did :). My little miserable bunny still has a sense of humor.. I just love her. She was painted on a canvas sheet.. and there are SO many layers in there, I can’t even count them 🙂

Where did all our artists go??? Love both the other pages that were submitted though. Mine is just ok. I just bought water colour paint and decided it was a perfect time to try them out. Practice, practice, practice is my mantra right now!!!
Violet, I was just getting ready to leave my comment when I saw what you said, *Mine is just ok* Are you kidding me ! Ack! I totally love it, especially the bulb and the tiny roots spreading out … I think it is wonderful and it really made me feel like I might need to start contributing to this Art Journal Monday. So please never question nor doubt your work, as it certainly has inspired me …. and for that, I thank you 🙂

Hi Em … I happen to like your *Miserable Bunny* and really find the eyes very realistic but also a bit mystical. But what I really enjoy with your AJ Monday creations is that it takes me some time and some skill, to see ALL the images, words, techniques, colours, embelishments, etc. that go into creating your page.
I am getting an *ITCH* to get involved in this format so don`t flip off your chair if you happen to see something in the future from me. I just need to figure out what is the best Sketch Book for me, so I might need a bit of your help Em, to get me set-up 😉

Sorry I didn’t post my page this week. My journal thoughts were a little too personal for the world to see – need to just keep that one to myself for now. But I did enjoy the process and it was theraputic.
