Marker Geek Monday: Copic Colouring Edna the Everything Fairy with Video
Phew! Apologies for the lack of posts over the weekend – last week got the better of me! I’m back today though, with your usual Marker Geek Monday post!
Phew! Apologies for the lack of posts over the weekend – last week got the better of me! I’m back today though, with your usual Marker Geek Monday post!
I’ve been a bit preoccupied over the past week, so there is no new Marker Geek Monday today. Instead, as I know many of you find these posts useful, here’s a round up of all the Marker Geek Monday posts so far, from the very first until the most recent.
This week for Marker Geek Monday I’ve been playing with our current Stamp of the Month for July 2017 – the adorable Petunia has a Party.
This week for Marker Geek Monday I’m fulfilling a request to show some Prismacolor coloured pencil colouring, featuring one of the NEW stamp sets from the Summer 2017 release!
Recently I’ve had a few requests to show some more coloured pencil colouring, specifically Prismacolor pencils. I thought I would start by experimenting with some different skin tones and sharing the results!
The stamp set featured in today’s post is the awesome new LITTLES SURFER stamp set (coordinating die set also available).
A quick note about the new LITTLES stamp sets – these sets are utterly adorable and lots of fun to play with in terms of creating scenes. They also happen to be great for colouring, and specifically for practicing blending and colouring. They are small, the girl shown below is approx. 1 3/4″ tall, but have less fine details than the usual Stamping Bella style, so are a little easier to practice shading and adding your own details.
The “skin combos” shown are by no means the only combos that exist, or even the “best”. These are just the results of a little play time, trying out some different colours together. Use them as inspiration for your own colouring, as a jumping off point to experiment with your own combinations. The hair and outfit colours are the same for each, only the skin colours differ.
Let’s talk colour! Get in touch via the comment section and let me know what you thought of this post. Also feel free to post any colouring questions you would like answering.

Marker Geek Monday is here again! I am pretty sure my brain is still somewhere back in February, but I’ve been informed that we’re actually almost done with May. Must be all the colouring occupying my thoughts. Ha! Today I’m combining a couple of my favourite things and showing you how to create some fun and simple cards using Copics and Distress Inks together.
