MY HEART IS FULL :) ART JOURNALING TOOSDAY!

Hiya sistahs

So we are busy shipping the new mounted stampies and so excited to hear your reaction to them so if you have feedback, we would love to hear it!

Today is art journaling TOOSDAY and our theme was to use STICKERS on your page!

Let’s see what everyone came up with shall we?

Here's my page .. I decided to use my SKETCH AND WASH pencil to sketch and SHMEAR water on.. LOVED using that.. it's been a while. Then I used some water based INKTENSE pencils for her cheekies and her lips. I have a stash of Japanese stickers I have been collecting from Etsy... so the bow and the hearts and the strips on the right side are all from those collections :). I had fun with this one!

a little bit of playing in my JOURNAL this weekend

Hiya sistahs!  hope you had a great weekend 🙂

I couldn’t resist stealing one of my JAVA SPILLS stamps.. first to make sure the quality was amazing (hehehe).. and second of all I am always the shoemaker with no shoes so I swiped it.  hehehe.  Im so sneaky..

Anyway here’s the report

THEY ARE FREAKING AMAZING…. can you hear me through your monitor?  FREAKING AMAZING!!!  Not only do I stare at the colour to inspire me but to stamp with them??? DEEEVINE!

I will make a card with them shortly but just wanted to play around in my journal and show you what they looked like in walnut stain distress ink… gesso… num num

AND THEY ARE MOUNTED.  They may even be EDIBLE.. they are SOOO bright.. like candies (you can’t tell in the picture)

It’s BELLARIFIC FRIDAY! some winnahs and more!

Hiya sistahs!

well it’s a gloomy Bellarific Friday here in Toronto. BLAH.  I do carpool with my BFF every day and she takes the kids to school and I pick them up every day.. this morning I waited outside with the kids for her to arrive and I took this picture

I see the poor leaves CLUTCHING on for dear life and it just makes me so sad.. I also remember the story called THE LAST LEAF by O. Henry.. I loved that story and will never forget sitting at my grandmother’s house watching it as a short film.. I must have been 8 years old and I remember the effect it had on me then.  I believe the movie starred Art Carney if I am not mistaken..  Anyway.. I am not gonna depress you all..LOL.. just thought I would share a “moment” I had this morning.

A little sunshine :)

Oh and here’s a picture of Jayden in her costume.. Ryan and I could not stop laughing because the JAW of this mask juts out and every time she bobbed her head, it shook.. guess you had to be HERE.. LOL.. Oh and I reminded her that she FINALLY inherited mommy’s hair..LOL

Ok and here is the first layer of my new painting.. I am practicing being FREEEE… and making my MARK… and just having fun.. being fully led by colour and innocence and naivete.  Will show you the progress as it progresses..LOL
