Sandie has a fantastic step by step for us again this week, featuring one of my personal favourites – the Irish Chicks stamp set and coordinating dies. Love it!

Supplies:

White card
Patterned paper
Scoring board and bone folder
Gold foil covered chocolate coins
Cellophane bag
White ribbon
Green twine
Enamel dots

How to:

Cut one piece of white card measuring 8.5″ x 6.5″. On the 8.5″ side, score at 2.5″ and 6″. On the 6.5″ side, score at 2.5″ and 4″. Cut the scorelines on the 8.5″ side, up to the intersecting score lines. Repeat on the other side. Cut the outer tabs on each side down to approx 1″ and taper the edges of all four tabs.

Apply adhesive to the outside of the tabs and fold into a box shape, as shown.

Using a large tag die (the one used here is 5.5″ x 3.75″), cut 2 tags.

Using the same tag die, cut 2 patterned paper tags and trim them just inside the stitching.

Cut one white card circle and one smaller patterned paper circle

Cut 2 pieces of patterened paper for the sides of the box, measuring 1 3/8″ x 2 3/8″

Stick the paper tags to the white card tags. These are the front and back of the tag bag.

Apply adhesive to one side of the box and adhere to the bottom inside of one of the tags.

Stamp the Irish Chicks on to white card and colour using your preferred medium.

Using the coordinating CUT-IT-OUT Dies, cut out the images.

Cut a patterned paper pennant (optional)

Layer the pennant onto the front of the tag, bringing the fishtail flush with the end bottom.

Glue the patterned paper circle onto the card circle and adhere it down over the pennant.

Apply foam tape/dots to the back of the images

Adhere the images down onto the circles. Apply adhesive to the other side of the box and adhere this tag in the same manner as the first tag.

Take the coins and put them into a cellophane bag.

Pop the bag into the box and close the bag by theading some white ribbon and green twine through the holes at the top and tying in a bow. Add some enamel dots to decorate.

Of course I love this box, it has lots of yellow in it & it has the chicks. What could be better? A big bowl of hot, buttered popcorn! LOL Great craft & coloring.
