Hiya sistahs! hope your week is going well so far… We are in a HEAT WAVE here… thank goodness for air conditioning!
Ok, so this post really isn’t about card making or journaling or mixed media or scrapbooking. It’s about the NEXT best thing of course! MAKEUP. YUP. MAKEUP. I am SO thankful that American Idol is over so I don’t have to stare at JLO any more…LOL. She is stunningly beautiful.. I mean that skin! IMPECCABLE!
And that is when the QUEST OBSSESSION began. The quest to look GLOWY. to look DEWY… to look FRESH.. basically to look like JLO..LOL.
So Helenabella decided that she wanted to join me in this journey obssession… and so it started.
me: Helen, want me to look for glowy stuff online for us so we can look like JLO?
Helen: yup.. let me know where to pick the stuff up and I will be there… LOL
so this was our first product bought
worked pretty well but we weren’t J-LOey enough (LOL) (and I didn’t want to admit it but wasn’t sure which layer on my face this went on… over the foundation? under the moisturizer? over the moisturizer? under the blush? LOL)… Helen immediately left to purchase these for us.. it was so funny.. I could see the dust under her shoeZZZZ!
So Helen and I accepted our GLOW with this product for a while but we still secretly tried other products… shhhhhh
I went to Mac and I found the PEARL cream BASE that I Was told can go on cheeks to highlight on eyebrows etc
this worked pretty well but still needed more of a glow..
so THEN I discovered at MAC something NEW and glowy…
it’s this LIQUID POWDER which I absolutely ADORE.. it’s dry but it feels cool and wet when you put it on as it is made with 70% water… OHHH I LOOOOOOOVE IT!!! and I KNOW to put this over my foundation 😉
but FIRST I found a foundation BOOSTER that gives you a glow too!! also from Mac just mix a few drops for more DEW… these are called LUSTRE DROPS.. LOVE THEM
Ok… so you should probably be able to SLIDE off my face from a glo..LOL
Then, helenabella texted me that I have to buy a new GLOWY eyeshadow available in 16 colours…..GRRRR
BIG BOUNCE eyeshadows…
Why is makeup, cardstock, paint, stamps, glue, patterned paper, accessories, embellishments etcc
*sigh*

I went through the same thing. I haven’t tried MAC products yet. I’ll have to wait till next pay day.
I do love Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess. I am so white -yes casper white that this is a bronzer that goes over everything else and gives me a shimmer with some color to. Love it!
have the big bounce shadow in “impeccably rich”…..love love love! Need more colours. And, apparently need the liquid powder too! A primer under the big bounce shadows are a must!
I hear ya! I am a Bare Escentuals addict. I LOVE purple. It’s good with my red hair. I seriously must have every one of their purple shadows. Yet somehow there is always one more i simply MUST try. MWAH to the girls who loooooooovvvvvvvvveeeeee purple!
I now own 6 Big Bounce shadow colours…you’re falling behind. LOL. They’re just like paint…you can mix the colours together to make new ones. Mixed media!
i would LOVE J-lo’s skin, face, body, money..husband not so much-ew!!
I love MAC and I just bought the new dewy type shadow, and I love it…..I must look into the (wet) foundation
LOL I swear us girls are all the same! 🙂 I can’t tell you how many women have said the same thing about J Lo and her glow! I loved hearing about the journey to glow and beauty! Guess I may have to try me some MAC…
like o-M-G…i am SERIOUSLY LAUGHING MY HIND OFF! you ARE gorjus sistah….do you know that after seeing you i drive back to Chatham listening to the tunes of Dave Matthews and thinking I wish I had her gorjust hair, lips and face! NO KIDDING! No kidding….you are STUNNING…but if you do find a product that improves on that….I’ll be all overi i LUV you!
I might go for the j lo glow since the sun doesn’t seem to be providing me with the natural bronzing summer color i love….where is the sun…sounds like its in the mac store!

Thought i would put my two cents in here. I use a product by Benefit called “that girl” which is for that “glowy” look. I love it so much that if i don’t feel like putting on makeup I will throw some of this on my face and it gives your skin more…..ummm “oomph” I guess even when you have nothing else on it makes the skin look so young and fresh (and at 39 that ain’t easy..lol)
Gotta try those new mac shadows though!
