Card Samples

Colouring! but a different kind of colouring :)

So I have been a LITTLE EENSY WEENSY BEENSY obssessed with embroidering.  I am DETERMINED to make an artquilt for my children.  Basically Art Journaling on fabric.  I have been MAJORLY inspired by Pam Garrison.

A sample of her artquilt can be seen here.  Please check out her blog.. she is UBER inspiring 🙂

I am going to start with a mini Bella Sampler art quilt which will include LOTS of bella images embroidered onto fabric with embellishments, trim.. OOOHHHHH AHHHHHH….. Now don’t get me wrong.. I still love my stampies on Paypah!!  But I feel that needlework is gonna be veHerry popular..and I need to practice.  Now if you know me.. if I no LIKEY something.. I no DO-ey something..LOL.  I AM LOOOOOVING embroidery!  I have now ordered every stitch book available and am learning on my own.  So here is my first piece going into my artquilt.  Now I have put it in a frame just to show how versatile your finished image can be!

I used KETTO’S BUD FLOWER in this image

see? I "coloured" with thread!

Ok just wanted to share.  I feel bettah now 🙂

So these kits are what I started learning on.  I LOOOOVE them.  DID I MENTION I LOVE THEM?  They are simple and STUNN-ING.  I decided to bring a few in the store to see if anyone would be interested.  They are relaxing, and easy… and gorgeous.

you can find them HERE

Here is a sample of one I did… you can find it HERE in da SHOP.  If you don’t know how to embroidery, these teach you simple stitches and then AFTERWARDS, the world is your OYSTER… use your stamps! get creative!

Imagine if you had a wall full of these?  *ahem* I will have a wall full of them..LOL

So that’s my “OUTBURST” for today 🙂

Mwah to da sistahs who LOVE FLOSS

Embroidery floss that is 😉

wow, embroidery quilts panels is such a fantastic idea. I was just given a cross-stitched family tree panel that is 2’x3′ as an anniversary gift and its pretty impressive and will become a family heirloom. I’m sure your embroidery creations will become family treasures too. (They better be!)
