Time for DT Thursday! Another fun card making project from Sandiebella to help us get through Thursday. 😉 Click on through for Sandiebella’s fab step by step tutorial.
Cracked Glass Effect Step by Step Tutorial:
Oval & Scalloped Oval die
VersaMark embossing ink
Clear embossing powder
Tumbled Glass Distress ink & blending tool
Once the image is coloured, cut it out using an oval or circle die.
Leaving the Die in place, sponge around the house using Tumbled Glass distress ink.
When you remove the Die, you will have a white border all around the image.
Place the image on a piece of copy paper and cover the whole image with VersaMark embossing ink. Sprinkle the embossing powder over it, then shake off the excess. Use the copy paper to funnel the excess powder back into the jar.
Repeat until you have a thick layer of embossing. I put 5 layers on it. Pop the image into the freezer for about 3hrs.
Remove the image from the freezer and quickly bend it to crack the ‘glass’
Taking the Tumbled Glass distress ink, sponge the cracks to make them pop more.
Mat the image onto a scalloped oval and pop onto the front of your card, using the sentiment to finish.
