Card
Designer paper
Scoring board, bone folder, ruler, pencil, eraser & craft knife
Circle punch
Stitched pennants and Clouds dies.
How to:
Stamp the Barn, Hay, Farm Animals and Farm Birds onto white card and colour using your preferred medium. Fussy cut around the outline of each and set them aside.

Red card –

Cut one piece of card measuring 5.5″ x 4.25″, 2 pieces measuring 0.5″ x 6.25″, and two pieces measuring 5.5″ x 4-1/8″

Score the 0.5″ x 6.25″ pieces at 1″ from each end.
Score the 5.5″ x 4-1/8″ pieces at 0.5″ and 2.75″ on the 5.5″ side.

Using a rectangle die, cut away the middle of the 5.5″ x 4.25″ piece. A border of 1″ all around is ideal. The sample shown has a 0.5″ border and it is quite flimsy.

Fold the 0.5″ sections of the 0.5″ x 6.25″ underneath, apply adhesive, and adhere to the ends of the frame, at the back. This creates the slider guides.

Cut two 3/8″ x 5″ strips of card and adhere them on the longer sides, between the sliding guides.

Put a pencil mark in the centre of the 4.25″ sides and use a circle punch to remove a little bit of the frame.

Slide the 2.75″ section of the doors through the sliding guides, on both sides and fold back the rest on top of it.

Cut two pieces of white card measuring 5.25″ x 1″. Measure in 0.25″ from all edges, mark with a pencil, then draw pencil lines to connect them.

Using a precision scissors, cut away the sections as shown. Repeat this process with the other piece of white card.

With the doors folded flat, and meeting in the centre, measure and mark with a pencil at 1″ and 2″

From the left score line, measure in and mark at  0.75″, 1.5″, 3″, and 3.75″.

Using a craft knife, cut each side of the pencil lines to make a slit for the sliders.

Fold in the 0.25″ tabs on the sliders and push though the slits on the doors.

Open up the sides once pushed through

Repeat for both sliders.

Cut another piece of red card measuring 4.25″ x 5.5″.

Fold the card flat again and apply adhesive to the 0.5″ sections only.

Adhere the 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of red card.

The front.

To make the barn door look, cut two pieces of white card measuring 2″ x 3″. Measure in 1/8″ on all four sides, then draw diagonal lines. Cut out the inner triangles using a craft knife.

Punch two cirles and cut each in half.

Adhere the white card to the doors and adhere the half circles to the edges of the door, front and back, to make pull tabs.

Adhere a piece of backing paper to a 5.5″ x 8.25″ piece of card. Adhere the barn to the bottom, then adhere the Oddball Barn above it.

Stamp a sentiment from Down on the Farm set and cut out using a pennant die.

Adhere the sentiment to the card front and add clouds around the barn to finish.
