Thursday with Sandiebella: Oddball Witch Slider Easel Card

It’s time for a little Halloween themed fun! Sandie has a fantastic tutorial today with a witchy theme.

Oddball Witch Slider Easel Card

Supplies:

Oddball Witch rubber stamp
Card
Patterned papers
Scoring board and bone folder
Craft knife

How to:

For the card, cut:
1 piece at 4.5″ x 5.75″ (base)
1 piece at 4.25″ x 5.5″ (easel)
1 piece at 1″ x 9″ (pull tab)
1 piece at 3.25″ x 4.5″ (easel front)

For the base layer cut one piece of paper at 4-3/8″ x 5-5/8″. Adhere to the 4.5″ x 5.75″ base piece of card and set aside.

Take the 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of card and score at 0.5″ on each side as shown. Score just the centre section at 2.75″ in between the 0.5″ score lines.

Cut the 2 long score lines and one of the shorter ones.

Mountain fold the centre score line and valley fold the remaining 0.5″ score line.

Score the 1″ x 9″ piece of card at 1″ on one end. Fold the 1″ section over the front of the card as shown and glue down.

Cut a piece of paper measuring 4″ x 5.25″ and score at 3/8″ on all 4 sides. Using a craft knife, cut along all the score lines and remove the centre panel.

Trim as necessary to leave a small black border all around the frame.

Adhere the frame to the front of the easel.
On the back, apply adhesive around the edges. Do not apply adhesive on the pull tab.

Adhere to the card base.

Apply adhesive to the bottom section of the centre panel and adhere the 3.25″ x 4.5″ easel front.
Cut a piece of paper measuring 3″ x 4.25″ and adhere to the easel front.

Stamp the sentiment from Oddball Witch onto a piece of card, cut to fit inside the frame, mat with black card, then adhere in front of the open easel using 3D foam tape. This will hold the easel open.

Stamp Oddball Witch on to white card and colour using your preferred medium.
Fussy cut around the outline.

Decorate the easel front then adhere Oddball Witch using foam tape/dots.

Trim down the 1″ x 9″ piece of card and create a pull tag using a die, or embellishment cut from papers.

To display, pull the easel open and prop it behind the sentiment.

  1. Spookily fun, thanks for what such a fun card idea that can be used with any design papers or character. The Oddball range is my favourite range from SB, although I do own a mixture x
