Thursday with Sandiebella: Create an On The Edge Card feat. Flowery Gnome

Sandie’s back again with another brilliant step by step card!

Flowery Gnome – On the Edge Card

Stamping Bella: Thursday with Sandiebella - Create an On the Edge Card feat. Flowery Gnome

Supplies:

White card
Patterned paper
Precision scissors
Scoring board and bone folder
Enamel Dots
Pennant Die
How to:
Cut one piece of white card measuring 5″ x 9.5″. Score at 4.5″

Fold and crease well on the scoreline. The 4.5″ section is the card front.

Make an impression of the Flowery Gnome die on the outside edge of the card front by using two B plates and the embossing mat in the Cuttlebug. For other die cutting machines you will need to play around with the combination.

Measure in 1″ from the edge and cut to the die impression, top and bottom.

Carefully fussy cut around the impression, just from the 1″ mark to the outer edge, as shown.

Cut two pieces of white card measuring 4 7/8″ x 3 3/8″ and one piece measuring 4 7/8″ square.

Cut two pieces of patterned paper measuring 4.75″ x 3.25″ and one piece measuring 4.75″ square.

Adhere the patterned paper pieces to the corresponding white card pieces.

Adhere one of the smaller pieces to the outside of the card, and one on the inside left. Also adhere the square to the inside right.

Cut the image out using the co-ordinating die.

Depending on the weight of the card you stamped the image on, you may want to cut another outline from white card. I used Holtz Copic Paper which is quite light. Adhere the image onto the white card cut out.

Add any additional patterened paper layers to the card front and then, using foam tape/dots, adhere the Gnome lining it up with the front edge of the card.

Stamp the sentiment onto some white card and cut out using a pennant die. Adhere flat to the card front. Embellish as desired.
