Sandiebella has outdone herself AGAIN. Absolutely loving this one! I may have to follow her guide and create some Christmas cards for our nieces, they would get a real kick out of these.
Supplies:
Cut 4 strips of black card measuring 12″ x 2″ and score on the 12″ side at 2″, 4″, 6″, 8″ and 10″
Mountain/valley fold each of the strips.
Cut:
Adhere small patterned paper squares to the small orange squares and adhere them onto 5 of the panels on each of the 12″ strips.
Use the light coloured paper on the middle panels if you plan on using them for greetings or sentiments.
Take the 6″ x 6″ piece of black card, measure the centre (3″) on all 4 sides, and make a cross with a pencil.
Apply adhesive to the section of the 12″ strip with no layers and adhere down onto the 6″ square, centered over the pencil mark, and lined up with the outside edge. (there will be 2″ on each side of the strips)
Repeat for all four 12″ strips.
Cut:
Open out the lantern sides and adhere both the orange card and the Haloween paper down onto the 6″x 6″ black square.
Take the two .75″ x 3.25″ pieces of black card and make a cross from them.
Cut a scalloped circle approx 2″ in diameter from black card, and a smaller stitched circle from paper/card. Adhere the circles together and position them in the centre of the cross. DO NOT adhere the circles to the cross yet. Punch a hole through the circles and the cross.
With the 4 sides folded down slide the cross under the four top squares and centre it. Holding it in place, lift one square and apply adhesive to the end of the the cross as shown. Fold the top back down and press on it to adhere it well. Repeat with all of the lantern side strips.
Thread some ribbon through the hole in the cross, making a loop, and tie/staple it in place.
Thread the loop through the circles and slide them down to the cross. There is no need to adhere it.
Adhere the whole thing down onto the 6.25″ black square.
Stamp a selection of Outdoor Decorations and Mummy and Frankie, and colour using your desired medium. Cut them out using the coordinating dies.
Decorate each of the 2″ sections on the sides using the images and other embellishments of choice.
The card folds flat for mailing, and can hang by the loop as an ornament.
