Sunday with Tamibella: Gnome Cowboy

Hi!
Tamara here with you. I made a masculine card with one of the new gnome images called Gnome Cowboy. I don’t do a lot of cards for boys or men these days so when the opportunity comes I have a lot of fun with it.

You can still grab this brand new stamp and the other new releases in the WHAT’S NEW section of the store with 10% off. The storewide sale ends at midnight on 9th February 2023.

I stamped my image with Archival Ink – Jet black on Fabriano 300 g HP watercolour paper. I’m using extra white paper for my images and compared to ordinary copy paper it still looks like warm white. I used distress ink pads for colouring.

Distress ink pads used:
skin: vintage photo
hat, boots, gloves: gathered twigs
straw: fossilized amber, spiced marmalade
rope: pumice stone, black soot
shirt, pants: faded jeans, lumberjack plaid

For the card base I used craft cardstock and then some Maja papers for the card. I added twos tripes of blue ribbon and some brads to the star. Letter “S” stands for sheriff. LOL

  1. This project is award-winning! First off, the Gnome Series is superbly clever and original. Tamara, your attention to detail is everything—from the plaid shirt to the varied neutral Distress Inks used to the cork- and denim-like papers and checked ribbon to the cowboy’s sheriff star. Cowboy Gnome Love!

  2. This is a really cute card… definitely masculine and very western. Being here in Texas, I can tell you that the Western Sherriff details are wonderful (couldn’t say it any better than Kathy Lane says, above.) Thank you for sharing.
