sistahs.. I have been playing around in between migraines and kidlets and boy did I have fun.. After experimenting in art journaling for the last 2+ years, I have figured out what I LOOOVE to do (i know I’m a little slow).. I LOOOVE collage.. there is something about vintage ephemera, embellishments.. the action of ripping, cutting and placing “just so” that makes me giddy. i LOOOOVE painting… layering… colour makes me HAPPY… I love STAMPING (imagine if I didn’t??? LOLOL) and the fact that it makes me feel like an artist… it’s so magical and of course I love everything else.. hmph. But I am trying to be more focused and concentrating on what I really LOVE to do… LOL.. which is all of the above.
anywayyyyy… I digress. Just wanted to show you a little som’n som’n I made using our brand new LANTERN FLOWERS (I LOOOOOVE THEM SOOOO MUCH!!!). One of my suppliers gave me these teeny tiny weeny winy blocks of wood wrapped in canvas.. I think they are 4*4′ She had no idea what to do with them so she gave them to me. Not only are they great to hang up.. but they can just sit there too.. I LOOOVE them.
So really sistahs.. are stampies only for cards? Nope. there’s LOTSA things to do with them…
What have you used your stamps for (other than cards)?
Mwah
Em
It looks beautiful Em! I love the colours. You’re right, those lantern flowers are GORJE!
if I haven’t used stamps on cards: I have used stamps on, and this is only a short list – tshirts, cushions, pillowcases, file folders, ribbons, flower pots, napkins, tableclothes, skin… My motto – If it will take ink or fabric paint, I will stamp it! This is why I told husband I wanted stamps not more computer clip art software.
This is absolutely stunning! Love it!
stamps on candles! stamps on candles!! its super wicked and can even make a delightful gift. yah know, if you’re crafty like that 😉
You are truly blooming into a full-fledged artist Emily. And if this medium gives you the greatest pleasure and allows you to zone-out, then I expect to see many more of these collages from you ?
Myself, I have utilized my emense rubbah’ stash on such things as wall art, kidlet’s tatoos, napkins, nail art, used food colouring and created a design in a cream of asparagus soup (Yum) and I did some festive shortbread cookies this past Christmas with swirls of icing and coloured sugar. I could go on all day with how I alter things as I just love & treasure my rubbah’, especially *Stamping Bella Stamps* (How was that for a product plug Em?)
MwAhhh
Girl – you rule in utilization! That is some list you have there. Question – what type of ink and process did you use for your nail art? Sounds intriguing.
