  2. How exciting Em! Can’t wait to see her! Puppies are so fun – ours is 6 mos now, but she was so smart the training was a breeze! Have fun with her and share some pics soon!

  3. I can’t wait to see those pics! I love dogs too, as does my DD, Annabella! She is going to me thrilled that there is a puppie called Bella too! 🙂 Good Luck! Mwah! Yvonneabella

  5. I had to smile when I saw your blog this am. We just got a Jack Russel Terrier last week , we had to put our 14 yo down a month ago, so this is kinda a replacment dog, anyway guess what her name is… well of course it is Bella. My hubby just shook his head when I said the name out loud, but then when pulled her name out of a hat he said you know she does look like a BELLA!. So enjoy your new bella, and know that “Bella” will have a special place in all of our hearts becuase of you!

  6. can’t wait to see the pics as well. All I can offer you is to be sure to get a kennel/crate for Bella. That worked wonders in our housebreaking experience, and it was on the advice of our vet. He advised us to keep her there 98% of the time, to let her cry to come out, immediately take her outside to where she was to do her bidness, then after a moment of praise, bring her right back in to the crate. This was VERY hard, although it was THE best advice for housebreaking. We…I…was getting to the point of it’s either she’s housebroken by 6 months or she’s gone….I no likey to clean up messes on my carpets and the stinky it can leave.

Have muchos fun with Bella…after the task of housebreaking, she will be wonderful!!

  7. LOL
We have a 2 year old yellow Lab, and she’s living @ her grandma’s (a.ka. my mother in law’s); cuz neither my DH or I wanna have to clean up after her!!! LOL The garden @ our place is really small for a labrador, and she’ll go nuts (she’s kinda already there anyway); and we could take her out to walk and do her business outside, but we both come in from work so late at night that neither would have the energy… so long story short, she’s being raised by grandma LOL
But she’s just the cutest!!! I can’t wait for a bigdogafellabella to be released (hint), it would be like our family portrait!!! LOL
Em, lemme know if you want pics of my DH and I with our little girl for inspiration 😉

  8. I forgot to mention that she’s IMPOSSIBLE to train… she’ll sit when you ask her to roll over, and will go fetch, but will never bring the ball back to you… I’ll try that kennel/crate (over @ her grandma’s!! LOL)

  9. I am over the cleaning of the pee and poo. Now my boxer, Jack, follows me to the potty and puts his head in my lap while I go pee and poo! Not to mention that when I walk near him he spreads his legs like, “Hey mom, wanna see my junk?” It is incredible, but he is so cute and lovey lovey. That is why we need a bigdogabella!

  10. Congrat’s Em on the new addition to the family 🙂 It will take you right back to the first month or so, when you brought home your first child~~ you’ll be sleep-deprived, emotional, your body sore from chasing after her, and ohhh ya, you’ll have a personal scent of pee and poop!! Yikes !! Not to worry, it does get better.

I have my 8 mo. old Boston Terrier on my lap now, snoring away, as I send this post. I was fortunate, as he was quick to toilet train (4 months) but can be a handful if he doesn’t get his daily run at the park. **(which reminds me Em, where is the post of MY BellaFella Riggs for da’ Sistahs? Humph!)**

But at the end of the day, when your hair is all *Frizzy* from chasing your new puppy and pulling it out yourself, you’ll have that ~~glow~~ in your heart and in your soul, that makes you smile and say, “I’m in love” 😉

    Welcome Home Bella !
Mwahhhh to da’ Sistahs and SLURPS to da’ puppy!

  11. Can’t wait to see piccies of the puppy! I just love dogs but I’d like one which are “slighty” bigger than yours… A rotweiller! My parents have a cute little lassa apso -not sure about the spelling!- and he’s so cute. Great with the kids too… Sure you’ll have lots of stories about her to tell us!

    Love x

  12. Yay!!! Bella must be here by now…today is the 12th of November!!!! Bella…how did you come upon that name Em??? LOL!! I walk around my house saying, “Bella!” Now my cat thinks it’s her name…lol!
    Happy Stamping!
    Gaylabella

  13. I cannot wait to see puppy pics. I hope you love little Bella as much as I love my Delilah. The pile of fluff that is the love of my life is sleeping on top of my lap now. At 70 pounds, she is a big blanket!!!

  14. welll……..we are waiting!!! Good luck with the little one; they have such tiny bladders. Hope all is well & that you are napping right now??!
