Hey friends!
Amy here with a new Scenic Saturday card on the ol’ Blogabella. Since the Holiday release hit the virtual shelves at Stamping Bella, I’ve been working my way through the trio of Oddball Witchy Sistahs and I’m ending the little series with Oddball Witchy Sistah 1. For the background I thought it would be fun to pair this fabulous witch with the Cottage on the Hill Backdrop and give it a creepy night time make-over.
Oddball Witchy Sistah 1 was stamped first, then masked before I stamped the Cottage on the Hill Backdrop high on the card front right over top her. Because the cottage itself is pretty tiny in comparison to our witch, placing it so high up gives us room to create the correct perspective between the two stamps. Once the mask is removed from Witchy Sistah, that cottage and even the hillside it rests on look be be pretty far behind her. I did have to extend the fence and hillside to the right of Oddball Witchy Sistah 1 by hand since the stamp was positioned far to the left but it was a simple thing to sketch in. When it came time to color, I thought she would look quite stunning with a head of silvery white hair, haloed by the light of the full moon. She’s a powerful witch with a few centuries under her belt and at this point she has seen been there, done that with all things Halloween. The rustic fall orange of the treetop and the bushes create a nice visual triangle that helps lead the viewers eye right to our witch’s face and her large spell book as the key point in this layout. Just don’t stare too long into those big eyes or she will have you under her spell, LOL!
Stay crafty my friends!
