Hello friends!
Amy here with a new Scenic Saturday card to share. My current card making mood has been leaning towards Valentine’s Day, or rather more general themes of love and friendship. So it was that theme which I had in mind when searching for a stamp to be the star of the show today. When I came across Curvy Girl Vet, I fell in love with her armful of furry friends but I didn’t need a vet themed card. I wasn’t going to let that stop me from inking her up though.
When it came down to it, transforming this Curvy Girl Vet into a more generic cat lover was as easy as wiping the ink from the pocket on her shirt that held her stethoscope then simply drawing in the missing line. From there, just coloring her pants as jeans and adding a stripe print to the shirt transformed her scrubs into a cute and casual outfit. To help create a simple indoor background I stamped the floor lamp from the retired Room Decor Lamp and Frames set, slightly behind Curvy Girl. This, along with the little mouse shaped cat toy that I sketched onto the floor, were all I needed to set the cozy scene. The large sentiment was stamped onto an oversized word bubble die cut that fills the entire top half of the card for a fun change up to my usual scenes. Before gluing it to the card front I used a pair of scissors to cut down around Curvy Girl’s head, allowing me to tuck the large word bubble behind her. A sprinkling of enamel hearts floating around these furry friends adds to the love theme that I initially set out to create. I hope this inspires you to look at the stamps in your Bella stash, that with a simple twist or two, can be transformed into something completely new. 🙂
Stay crafty my friends!
