Hello Bellas, Amy here and it’s time for a new Scenic Saturday. I couldn’t wait to pull out some stamps from the newest release to ink up. I thought it would be cute to do some masking and pair Curvy Girl Holding Hands with Daddy’s Little Girl to create a sweet family all gathered together. It looks like they’ve spent a lovely day out together and now as the kids are getting tuckered out it is time to head back home. The pretty spring garden background was inspired by the new Copic Enchantment online course from Sandy Allnock. Lately I’ve been feeling a bit stagnant in my coloring so I needed to shake things up and stretch my creative muscles. I haven’t even completed the entire course yet and I already find myself feeling reinvigorated and trying new things. It was fun to take the inspiration from a slimline scene class and change the color palette to suit my story as well as condense it down to work on a smaller A2 sized card front. I believe it is so important to always keep growing in your art and when you hit those plateaus don’t be afraid to look outside yourself for that next step that keeps you moving forward in your creative journey.
Stay crafty my friends!
Lovely card. You blended the family perfectly.
what a beautiful image, colored beautifully.
I love how you did this! I always forget about masking. I did it once or twice & I actually did it right! Love your coloring too! Great job!
