It’s scenic Saturday with Amybella

Hello Bellas!

Amy here with a sweet as can be Scenic Saturday card. It’s berry picking season in my neck of the woods and that means it is time to start making jams and jellies. When I was younger my family would even sell baked goods and jams at the local farmer’s market which inspired this scene of Curvy Girl Loves Jam all set up with her own table of delicious offerings. To create this outdoor market scene, I first stamped and colored Curvy Girl Loves Jam in a pretty summer gingham print using my Copic markers. I then used a very light grey marker to sketch the table in behind her. Once the perspective looked right, I colored the table, matching the table cloth to her dress because this savvy gal knows that branding is everything, LOL! Next, I colored in the rest of the background, starting with the grass and sky then adding the large tree and smaller bushes. I didn’t try to stamp and mask all of the jam jars onto the table, instead I simply stamped them on a scratch piece of card stock, colored them and then fussy cut them out. It was much easier to simply glue them into place and the scene still looks totally cohesive. I also used some of the extra strawberries to decorate her sign containing the sentiment as well. The end result is a card that encapsulates the sweetness that can be found during these hot summer days.

Have a wonderful and crafty weekend my friends!

  1. Wow! I was expecting a stamp for that table and tablecloth, as well as the tree. You are so good! This is beautiful. 🙂
