We’ve got another awesome DT Thursday project from Sandiebella for you today! Enjoy!
Patterned papers
The pizza box I made was cut on the Silhouette, but it can be quite easily made by hand.
You will need 2 pieces of white card, one measuring 7.75″ square and the other measuring 7 13/16″ square. Also on both, you will score at 2″ on all 4 sides and cut as shown below.
For the layers you will need:
On the pizza box base, fold up all scorelines and crease well with a bone folder.
Apply double sided tape, or wet glue, on the outside of all 4 corner tabs.
Fold in the tabs inside the box and adhere to the other sides to make a box.
It’s best to add all the panels to the pizza box top before assembling it. Adhere all the patterned paper pieces to the card pieces and then adhere them down onto the pizza box top, leaving the back panel bare. This panel attaches the top to the bottom of the box.
Apply double sided tape, or wet glue, to the outside of the 2 front tabs, and on the back section, as shown.
Fold in the tabs and adhere to the inside of the front.
Lay the bottom of the box up on its side, Remove the backing from the tape on the back panel and slide into the box. Press down firmly to adhere securely.
Close down the lid of the box.
Stamp the Sweaty Chicks onto white card and colour using your desired medium.
Cut the Chicks out using a shaped die, of your choice. To reinforce the image, use a second die cut adhered to the back of the image.
Stamp the sentiment onto a strip of white card
Utilise your papers to make your own embellishments.
Adhere the sentiment towards the front of the box top. Lay the image in place, but do not adhere it yet. Apply some glue to the back of the tickets cut from the patterned papers, slip them into place under the image and glue down.
