Yes. I am obssessed.

hiya sistahs!

My “deal” with myself at being creative every day seems to be working!  I have seen so many cute projects online using a laminating machine (a laminator?  that sounds like the TERMINATOR  LOL).

I wanted to use it for my journal as well as paper projects…  Whenever we go to the bookstore, my girl child always bugs me for a bookmark and I REFUSE to spent $6 on one.. it’s ridiculous!  I decided to use my LAMINATOR (said like AHHHHnold) and make her one instead.  Ok, this probably cost me 865$ to make but it was fun… ok? LOL

This was my test one for myself.. gonna make her some to give to her teacher and her friends… she’s dying to get her little hands on that machine. LOL

I used Uptown girl Betty loves Books and I used some sticky letters to remind me that I should READ MORE and SURF LESS.  Before I go to bed every night, I have a book waiting for me to dive into.. but nooooooo Emily can’t read.. she has to go on YOUTUBE and watch crafty videos.. or surf pinterest etc.. LOL.  So then I am stimulated and don’t sleep all night LOL.

Here she is.. this machine is AMAZING I tell ya!

I already made a “dashboard” for my Midori journal..

If you have any other ideas of what to do with da LAMINATOR… please put it in the comments.. would love to hear!

  1. I was wondering if you would be willing to show the “dashboard” for your Midori…or even a Midori tour!!!

I am blessed. I watch crafty youtube videos with my morning coffee. In the afternoon I read a book while I walk on my treadmill and in the evening I get crafty. That is the life after working 42 years. As I said I am blessed. Have you seen Jennifer McGuire’s video on using your laminator with foil? I would need the lazer printer and the laminator.

  3. OH what a cute bookmark! I make myself read everynight….Amazon Kindle makes it sooo easy! Fits perfect in my purse when I am on the go! I have been debating about getting a laminating machine since watching Jennifer McGuire’s video (same one as Fay watched!) I would use it to laminate my favorite things. I could see myself laminating a lot of small cards to display on my desk as notes of “encouragement”….. 🙂

My husband took over my Xyron laminator when he went back to school. One of the things he did was to make up practice tests for himself then laminate them. Using a dry erase marker he would then take the test. This allowed him to erase his answers and use the test throughout the semester. The other students in the class loved the idea so much that he sold them sets and then at the end of the semester sold his set to the next students. He actually made enough to pay for some of his books. The laminator is now back to doing it’s crafty purpose.
