I wanted to wish my sistahs affected by DA hurricane to please take care and be safe!

I have another funny story :)… So between hockey, and school and hockey and hockey and hockey, I still am very strict with schoolwork.. I basically told tyler that if his grades aren’t good, we will reconsider this whole hockey commitment…  needless to say he is PETRIFIED of me when he gets his marks back.  So he had a test last week and I kept asking.. did you study.. YES mom.. do you know it?  YES MOM… are you sure?  YES MOM.. shall we review?  NOOOOO MOM.. I know it I promise.  Ok.. so Friday comes along and I am waiting for him and the other gang I carpool and out comes tyler shaking his head and HUGE TEARS as he plunks into the car.  (p.s. as I am writing this, he is NEGOTIATING with me how he only has to read for 15 minutes rather than 20.. SOMEBODY SAVE ME FROM MAULING THIS CHILD!!!).. anyway he tells me his mark in his test and I am livid.  wouldn’t talk to him.. wouldn’t look at him.. and we didn’t let him play hockey that night or the next (although he has to go to the game and practice).. Anyway  when we got home after the plunking in the car my cell phone rings and I see it’s the school.  I am MORTIFIED and SCARED so I don’t answer..LOL.   They leave a message.  I check the message… it’s his teacher… saying “Mrs Block, we would love for you to come on monday morning to see Tyler receive an award for RESPONSIBILITY in school… “..LOL.. after giving him such a hard time, I get this call.. Im’ a horrible mom.. the good news was, I didn’t tell him he was getting this award.. so he could stay “punished” all weekend..LOL.  It was a surprise this morning..
