Thursday with Sandiebella: Create a Golden Tag Card

Sandiebella has another gorgeous step by step for us today!

Golden Tag Card

Supplies:

Large tag die (approx 5″ tall x 3.5″ wide)
Card
Patterned paper
Scoring board and bone folder
Adhesive
Enamel dotsHow to:
Cut 3 tags from white card and one from patterned paper. If your tag die comes with a reinforcing piece, cut one of those too.

Take one of the tags and score it at approx 1″ from the top.

Adhere the other 2 card tags together to make the card front. I always use 2 tags glued together to make it sturdy. Do not glue on the reinforcing piece yet.

Apply adhesive to the 1″ section of the scored tag and adhere it to the back of the card front.

Cut approx 1.5″ off the bottom of the patterned paper tag and adhere it to the front of the tag card. The top part of the tag can be used for another project.

Stamp the Golden onto white card and cut out using the tag die, ensuring the image is towards the top part of the tag.

Place the tag back into your die cutting machine and place the die so that the bottom of it is just beneath the dog.
Run it through the machine just until it catches the end of the die to cut and make the stitches at the bottom.

Colour the image using your desired medium. I took inspiration from Elaineabella’s YouTube video when colouring this guy. She has loads of wonderful colouring videos so do check them out.

Adhere the dog down onto the card front.

Adhere the reinforcing piece over the hole at the top of the tag.

Thread some ribbon through the hole and tie some white twine around it. Make a bow with the twine.

Stamp the sentiment onto a strip of white card, roll it over your fingers to curve it slightly, apply glue to each end of the strip, and adhere it to the card front.

Embellish using some enamel dots.
