Hello, hello!
Amy here with a sweet Christmas card that takes me back to my crafting roots for this week’s Scenic Saturday. This joyful Lunettes Christmas Girl surrounded by all of her gifts, was stamped at a fun angle to make it look like she is popping into a holiday selfie. To help me come up with the perfect Christmas color palette for her, I decided to revisit my long neglected stash of pattern paper pads and let them help guide my choice of Copic markers.
Back in the day I started out as a scrapbooker and during that time I collected a lot of pretty pattern papers. When I transitioned over to stamping and card making I still relied heavily on those papers to create the design that housed the character stamps that I colored and fussy cut out. As my style evolved, I found myself using less and less papers and coloring entire backgrounds instead. Still, I think that using those papers as color palette inspiration while I was learning to color with my Copic markers was really beneficial in building my confidence in creating new color blends. So here I am letting this pretty Christmas stripe paper dictate all of the colors used on Lunettes Christmas Girl and her gifts, which creates a nice balance with the paper itself at the bottom of the card. The open space at the top of the card was the perfect place to add this large sentiment from the Festive Gnome Sentiment set stamped in red ink to coordinate back to the paper and the little holly embellishment that I added as a festive finishing touch to this sweet card.
Stay crafty my friends!

Here are their gorgeous creations!
Love this gorgeous Christmas card Michele created, especially the bauble she created!
Delphine perfectly demonstrates how you can get more use from larger character stamps by simply using a portion of the image! Lunettes Christmas Girl is perfectly framed in this pierced oval die cut.
Sandra used papers and die cuts to create such a cozy winter village scene for our little Bundle Girl and her pal!
Jenny used one of my favourite Gnome stamps on her colourful and joyful Christmas card!
Debra chose the perfect stamp for the photo inspiration! Love this little cutie any time of year.
Steph chose some autumnal inspiration, and our Oddballs are always a good choice!
Alice went with flowers, and what better way than flowers delivered by a birdie?
Last but by no means least, Ginger created this stunning birthday card!
That’s it! Happy stamping and crafting. Make sure you leave a comment on this post to be in with a chance of winning the $25 gift card for the store.

It has been two years since we lost our founder Emily Block. Two years since she became our ForeverBella. It’s strange how time passes, and how we perceive it. Two years feels like forever, and at the same time like no time at all. It’s still hard to understand how she doesn’t pop up with a message or an email. I won’t lie, I’ve been putting off writing this post for days. I’ve seen this date looming on the horizon and buried it in stamping and colouring. But it feels important to honour Emily just a little extra on this day, here on the blog where she shared so much with us all over the years.
This year has been a really weird and challenging one for Stamping Bella, but we made it through. I know Emily would be immensely proud of that. We’re like the little engine that could.
We of course launched our beautiful new website a few months ago. Emily is on every single page in the footer, immortalised as an Uptown Girl, a nod to the fact that she is absolutely still the heart of what we do. You can still purchase our Uptown Girl Emily stamp – proceeds go to the Emily Block Memorial Fund.
What can I say? We all miss her, every single day. But she is absolutely with us every single day too.
Thank you for sticking with us. Every stamp you buy helps to keep Emily’s dream alive, and more importantly every time you use those stamps it keeps that passion for creativity and expression going. Emily LOVED that.
