hiya tootsies,

just wanted to show you some ideas I did with my HANGING BLOCKS.. I just love them all.. there are SOO MANY of them and you can make a quick and easy card or a  border on your scrapbooking page for ANY occasion!

the one I worked with here is called the hanging stars block

My style of stamping is really very clean and  S-I-M-P-L-E, I am always on the go, I never have time to “think” per se (how sad is that to have the GUTS to admit that..LOL).. and I love to be creative.. I love to stamp.. I love to color.. but I think I am majorly TYPE A.. as many of my colleagues would confirm 🙂  So… Having said that, I will try to make some samples-for-people-who-have-no-time-to-think-like-DA-BELLA.  Samples that focus on limited layers, pretty papers.. perhaps nestabilities and copics and lyra colored pencils with mineral spirits.. hmmmm not so simple no mo’.  That’s why the NICKABELLA is so important as she makes beeyoootiful layouts, thinks before she puts down a layer.. LOL.  My Anchor.  The bellarific babes also THINK.. ME??? I no thinky so much.  So I hope this helps some people who feel stressed about layouts etc.. sometimes, you don’t need to think!

In the card below I used silky black ribbon.. brand new in da store with more colors coming.. this 0.5″ ribbon is PHENOM and looks like silk but is stiff enough to tie knots.. YUM! also used this sentiment and the wish charm

Below is a card using the same DREAM STREET PAPER as the one above.. love the stars theme!  it is more of a generic card.. a little more “black tie” (lol) where I used a celebrate stamp and I stamped the stars hanging block stamp repetitively across the card rather than just once.  I also used the new black ribbon to tie the bows.. OH and LOTS AND LOTS of glittah on both cards with the quickie glue pen (one of my favoritest tools).

Is the scrapbook paper below not the cutest thing ever??? You can embellish any of your scrapbook pages with any stamp.. the hanging blocks are great for a top border!  add a picture and some embellishments and VOILA.. super cute.. super SIMPLE BEEYOTIFUL CLEAN layout.  Just love this idea!

Weekend was great.. it is FREEEEEZING here..brrrr.. how’s the weather out yonder?

Well it’s here sistahs!  Our challenge was quite a success!  Who would EVER think of putting white, purple and red together?  Nicky and I were fearful at first but the image was so elegant, we figured how could it go wrong?!?!?  and it didn’t!

Before I go on, I would love to introduce our brand new BELLARIFIC BABES!  We have chosen some amazing sistahs to help contribute to these bellarific fridays and post some samples on their blogs.  You may already know some of them but if not, please give a BIG ROUND OF applause to….

Nicky Manel of course you all know NICKY.  Nicky is Stamping Bella’s creative director, right left hand and feet..LOL and is one of the most talented cardmakers of all time (IMHO).  She has been stamping and teaching for more than 10 years, has a very dedicated following.. people don’t even have to know what she is teaching, they just sign up!  Nicky’s warmth and talent exudes at all times…you just want to be close to her and hopefully, through osmosis, you will become that talented too (i’m still waiting.. hmph).  Nicky has been on TV several times demonstrating the craft, has been published in many a magazine.. just a super wonderful sistah!

now meet Karen Motz

We met Karen about a year ago and we fell in love 🙂  She and her BFFFFF Dana (see below) just lightened up my day whenever they came to visit.. the passion, the zeal, the zest!  you couldn’t beat that!  Here’s a little bio introducing karen and then her card using HAPPY FLOWERS which come in 2 sizes packaged together!  I also think Karen is addicted to dots.. she used the poppy glitter small dots and nestabilities!

“I was a scrapbooker for years, but rubber stamping and card making have taken over my passion ever since I was introduced to it in May of 2003.  I love all the different looks you can get with one stamp.. I love colouring…I love paper.. I love ribbon.. I love embellishments.. I love it all!  In addition to stamping for myself, I also taught stamping and cardmaking classes at my LSS.  I was lucky enough to live nearby Bellaland.. it’s such a fun and happy place to spend some time and some money (grin!).. Since moving to Massachusetts, I started blogging in November ’08 as a way to keep in touch with friends and also share a little of my creativity with the stamping world”.

Now please meet Dana White.. the other half of Karen..LOL.  These two made our day when they came to visit!  They even were put to work at times (we have no shame..LOL)  Dana, we miss you sooo very much and hope you come and visit us soon k? (and sickness is NOT a reason NOT to come for a visit..hmph)

this chicklet is FULLL of energy.. and I mean FULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL of energy and that is why we looooove when she comes to visit Bellaland!  She is extremely talented, SOOO cute and bubbly and hard to resist!

“I’m a jack of all trades.. master of none”  so to speak.  My passion for crafting and creating led me to rubber stamping approximately 5 years ago and really have no idea what I would do without it now  I ‘m also a Stampin Up demonstrator, but mainly as a hobby.  Besides my amazing son and most supportive boyfriend, rubber stamping is now my true passion and my escape from reality.

So here is a little surpriZZZZZZe

We have been working on this for the LONGEST time.. and FINALLY it has arrived!  We will be phasing out our grey bEEyotiful rubbah and introducing a brand spankin’ new BABY YUMMY PINK rubbah!  Til we got the color down pat.. OMG… swatches and quality checks and and and.. and what can I say, it has finally passed the test and it’s being shipped as we speak!!  I absolutely love it… the color is so rich and the quality is bar none..  so I hope you love it as much as I do 🙂

We are working on a BIIIIG project as well.  I have been throwing myself shamelessly at an artist for about 2 years now.. crying and begging and weeping and sobbing and FINALLY my tantrums paid off!  OMG sistahs???  I AM IN LOVE with this line.. IN LOVE WITH THIS LINE.. you will freak out too!  We will be releasing it beginning to mid march.. and as shannan would say, I will probably do it this friday..lol.. but i won’t i won’t i won’t… I NEED TO WAIT… I DO!!  You will see why..

Happy Bellarific Friday sistahs!  We are going to start having Bellarific Fridays starting next friday Feb 20th!  We will present you with a select few Bellarific Friday Babes who will help us and contribute in the challenges (we will let you know who these babes are next friday!) Of course Nicky is queen bella babe (LOL.. she will kill me for saying that) but it’s true! and I am princess bella babe..LOL… I mean, I should have a title too, no?

Ok so how the bellarific friday works is that I will present a challenge (or one of the bellarific babes will) on Monday of each week.  People who would like to participate, will email me their submissions (emily@stampingbella.com).  In the subject line it should say BELLARIFIC FRIDAY FEB 20th (or the date it is for) with submitters name, blog address, email address.. Submissions will  be accepted no later than 5pm EST on Thursday evenings.  On Friday, depending on the volume of submissions, I will try to post all of them, or some randomly and then enter the rest into our gallery!

There will be a $10 gift voucher offered to the winner of the challenge!  Nicky and I want to keep this fun and challenging and don’t want this to become competitive etc.. it’s all about DA FUN.. sistahs!  WE ARE SOOOO EXCITED!!!!  ARE YOUUUUUUU???????

PS. of course all cards submitted have to have Stamping Bella images and sentiments and embellishments (if you can!)

Since Monday is “FAMILY DAY” and a statutory holiday in Toronto, I will be posting the challenge today!

but firssstttttttt…. take a looky at these cards.  Nicky has outdone herself once again 🙂  She challenged herself to use 1 sheet of paper (pink and green of course…we are on a pink and green kick right nicky? :P)

In this card, Nicky used our soft and luxurious Lyra colored pencils with odorless mineral spirits and bella blenders (I hate the word “stomps/stumps”..LOL).. she also used our new DREAM STREET paper called LULLABY, our PINK PUNCH variegated ribbon and of course our TURTLE TOTS CHEERLEADER (includes the sentiment).. is it YUMMY OR WHAT?

check out the ROSESSSSS… They are so fresh you can almost smell them!  Nicky used the same dream street papers and they were colored in with Copics.  The sentiment comes from Billboardabella’s words.  PHENOM!
