and just wanted to share my CRAZY week… ya know.. it seems so boring as life passes and then when I sit down with my pictures from the week.. I am amazed that  I captured some of that..LOL…

For this layout I really only used TAGS and LABELS.. LOL.  I made Paulabella run to Staples in Michigan and buy me all of the Martha Stewart/Avery labels that has ever existed to mankind.. They are GORGEOUS.  Paulabella, an amazing friend, managed to bring her daughter for the “haul”..  She shipped it that night and I got it 2 days later.. it was phenom… UNTIL…. I found out they sold it here.  Hmph.  I didn’t tell Paula so when she reads this.. I am gonna run VERY far..LOL

Hiya sistahs!  Hope you had a great weekend!

We were busy in DA bella household.. between hockey practices (i dunno why I say I am busy cuz Ryan does all the back and forthing..  but it makes me tired watching).. and Jayden was practicing her SPEECH.. LOL .. which she did PHENOMALICIOUSLY this morning.. so proud.  Tyler would have had to sit on a chair and face the back wall so no one could see him and then he would cry..LOL.  Funny how two different kids from da same bella can be so different.

Ok let’s proceed with a little art journaling/mixed media.  I just wanna tell da sistahs that you can use any substrate to do your journaling on.. whether it is a piece of paper, watercolor block, canvas, canvas board, muslin.. whatever you want to journal on can be submitted (you know there’s a reason for that explanation..LOL)..

The theme this week was using book print, book text somewhere on your page.. whether it be words cut up.. or whole pages as backgrounds..

Let’s see the beautiCIOUSness.. shall we?

So the reason why I say any SUBSTRATE is because I decided to journal on a canvas this week :)…I think it is my “go to” place right now.. canvases.. I think they are YUM…

and here is the close up of the book text.. I just love surrounding myself with old books and finding the right words and cutting them up and putting them together… it’s like a puzzle!

*sigh*.. I love mixed media

Now is that not a round of STUNNINGNESS???  OMG!  This makes me soooo happy 🙂

Hiya sistahs!  I just wanted to share a mixed media piece I have been working on … I lock myself in my craft room in the basement (which has now EXPANDED into the rest of the basement) and I paint and I splatter and I draw… I have the best time doing it… Now my art journaling has morphed into canvases..LOL.. soon it will be murals.. LOL!  So when I tell you to get out your paints.. and just let go.. I really mean it.  WHO CARES what it looks like… I don’t really love to show my work here but hey.. I have to practice what I preach right? right.  So here is my mother and daughter piece.  I really wanted a friendship piece but these came out instead..LOL.  Next will be a friendship piece! (unless something else comes out of course.. I always start out with the best of intentions)… I actually write on my canvases first before I start layering.. a little secret message.. a little piece of me.. and then I become the equivalent of COOKIE MONSTER with paint… “NAM NAM NAM NAM NAM.. ”  (that’s cookie monster eating the cookies in case you didn’t know..LOL)

*sigh*  I loved making them..

I FINALLY went to a dermatologist today about my hands.. any of my local sistahs will know that I have been suffering from what I thought was excema all over my hands – SO painful.    I walk into this office and I thought I was in the FOUR SEASONS spa.  I saw a waterfall.. and then I see an estheticians office.. then i see PRODUCT.. (insert NAM NAM noise again here).. The doctor started  taking all these pictures of my hands immediately.. I say to him ” am I a BEFORE SHOT?”.. he started laughing and says .. “basically”.  He says to me that I have ACUTE dermatitis and he wants to PROVE to me that he can make me better.. So then, he lays it on me.  There is a new pill out that deals specifically with dermatitis on the hands… He said it’s a miracle!  And then he says it’s $1000/month (hopefully my insurance covers this… or else.. no NAM NAM for a long time..LOL).  I asked him if this $1000 included MAJOR weight loss and BOTOX.. he said not so much.  hmph.  I will need this magic pill for 4 months..

Then, to add insult to injury I decided to visit the esthetician so she can sell me some facial care products (which she successfully did thankyouverymuch) and she examined my skin and said that I have busted capillaries and I should really consider laser to remove them for a mere $350/session and I need 6.  I told her I was very close and cuddly with my capillaries, and was not prepared to separate from them… thankyouverymuch  (I like that thankyouverymuch bidniss)…

Anyway.. that’s my NUGGET for today…  so please place orders so I can buy my happy pills?  THANKYOUVERYMUCH.   (just kiddinK)
