Marker Geek Monday: Oddball Frog Footman Pencil Video

At certain times every year I find myself in an Alice in Wonderland kind of mood. This is one of those times. You can watch my Oddball Frog Footman Pencil Video below to see how this regal character came to life using Faber-Castell Polychromos coloured pencils (full pencil list at the end of the post).

Oddball Frog Footman

Isn’t he amazing? He comes in a set with some really useful sentiments, giving you various ways to use him. You could also pair him with sentiments from the Alice in Wonderland Sentiment Set.

Stamps Used: Stamping Bella Oddball Frog Footman (includes sentiment)

I stamped the image on kraft card before colouring with Polychromos coloured pencils.

Weekend Inspiration with Delphine: Mini Oddball Superhero Scene Card & Video

Finishing the week with another beautiful card from Delphine! Perfect. Even better, she has also created a video for us this week, showing her colouring process, which you can watch below.

Both MINI ODDBALL SUPERHERO (sentiment included in the set)and the background have been coloured using Copic Markers, with some little gel pen touches here and there.

Scenic Saturday: Curvy Girl loves to Roller Skate Barbie Inspired Scene

Hello bellas!

Amy here once again, with a mini slimline scene to share for this week’s Scenic Saturday card. Recently, it has been difficult to avoid all of the commercials and online promotion of the new Barbie movie and since I was very much a Barbie girl when I was young, when it came time for me to color up this fabulous Curvy Girl Loves to Roller Skate, I simply couldn’t resist the Barbie inspiration.

Right off the bat I began coloring Curvy Girl Loves to Roller Skate in Barbie’s signature pink hues and blonde hair. It’s hard to tell in the photo but I also added some sparkle to her top using a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen, for extra pizzazz. When it came time to fill in the background I first did a Google search for photos of Venice Beach, California. I found this really pretty sunset shot where the sky and sand both had a wonderful dusky pink hue that was perfect for my pretty in pink Curvy Girl. To try and mimic that look I actually laid down a base coat of RV91 over the whole bottom half of the card and built up the details of the sand and sidewalk right over top. At first this was a little scary but I think that because I was working on a mini slimline size and had less background that needed to be filled in, I was more willing to experiment. Which I think is a great reminder that you don’t always have to color in an entire large card front, even when playing around with scene building. In the end, even though this was my first time trying a Copic blend like this in a background, I’m quite pleased with the subtle pink tint that it created throughout the scene and I’m encouraged to do more of this kind of under-painting on future cards.

Stay crafty my friends!

Bellariffic Friday – Emily’s Birthday Release Showcase

Happy Friday! This week the Babes have got some gorgeous new cards for us, showing off our special Emily’s Birthday Release again.

I also have some lovely news to share. So far our charity fundraiser UPTOWN GIRL EMILY DA BELLA stamp has raised $1055.39. We will be making our first donation to the Emily Block Memorial Fund shortly. Thank you to everyone who has purchased the stamp so far, not only do you have a very special stamp in your Stamping Bella collection, you’ve also contributed to a wonderful cause in honour of Emily. That makes me and everyone else at Stamping Bella incredibly happy. If you haven’t added her to your collection yet, don’t worry, the profits from this stamp will continue to be donated to the memorial fund.

Wonderful Wednesday: Oddball Girl Elf Card by Gingerbella

Hey all! I’m a bit snowed under with life stuff (adolescent puppy) and also working on a new release for you all (more on that coming in a few weeks). So no videos from me yet this week – I’m holding out hope for a Friday one! In the meantime, I wanted to share some more Christmas in July fun in the form of this wonderful card from our Gingerbella!

Ginger used our ODDBALL GIRL ELF and the LONG DISTANCE CHRISTMAS SENTIMENT SET for this beautiful festive card. Love those traditional colours and the vintage feel.

Have a great rest of the week!
