I LOVE LOVE LOVE these numbers and will show you what my brain is thinking with these LOL… I will show samples soon!

(2) to put dates in your project life albums/documented life journals/filofax/midori/napkin LOL

(3)  to use as interesting elements on your canvases or journal page

(4) to make a simple card stamping someone’s age

and there are soooo many more.. and the great thing is, they aren’t just simple numbers.. you can colour them in.. emboss them.. My brain is going WILD LOL

Our next and last mixed media stamp for this release is “PERFECT SCRIBBLES”.  Sistahs.. do you know how many times I have attempted THE perfect scribble on my canvases? LOL.. or on my art journal pages?  WELL WORRY NO MORE because here we have 4 perfect scribbles for your SCRIBBLING pleasure… would be a great background, textural element.. anything!

I know it seems so SILLY.. it really does but TRUST me when I tell you these will be one of my MOST used stamps.. I guarantee it!

ok sistahs… I know my main audience love the cute and the whimsy as do I.. I love elegant useful pretty images.. But I also LOVE to get down and dirty LOL.  Seriously.  Literally.

You can find me stealing moments in my little studio covered in paint, different mediums.. and sometimes a pen/paintbrush/marker in my hair I have forgotten I stuck there LOL.  I LOVE mixed media. LOVE.  I love stamping on my birch panels.. in my journal.. on my kids… anything that doesn’t move I love to stamp LOL.

So for today’s sneak peek I have made 2 backgrounds for your mixed media projects.  HOWEVER, this is not only for mixed media projects.. they are PHENOM for cards as well..

The first image is a floor plan.  When I saw the image I just loved all the lines.. the sketchiness.. the circles.. the organic shapes…  I think this would add so much interest to the background of a mixed media piece… I also envision this image stamped in a neutral color with the words “CONGRATS on your NEW HOME”… LOVE . THAT. IDEA…   OHHH maybe I would draw an arrow to the living room and say “LETS HANG OUT”… uh oh.. the wheels are turning again… HMPH.There are countless things to do with this stamp.. and we will be sure to show you samples soon!

Now for the next MIXED MEDIA BACKGROUND we have the FULL CIRCLE background… I just love this stamp too!  It’s amazing for backgrounds and journal pages.. fill the circles with your favorite words.. colour them.. doodle in them… stamp them on your panels or canvases.. ENDLESS.. you can also use them on your cards as well.  SIMPLE yet effective 🙂 plus I love ANYTHING ROUND.. including my… ok I won’t go there 🙂

And it’s a Christine Grove type-a day.. not TYPE A.. typa.. get it? type OF.. LOL.. Yes I am goofy today.. I lost ONE WHOLE POUND this week LOL.. 2 inches off my waist.. and feeling very SVELTE.. LOL.. NOT.  This morning my Tyler’s team won their first game in a tournament.. it’s a GOOD day 🙂  and yes, My HOOD went on a couple of times (see previous post).

Anyway.. back to our Christine.  When I first “met” her I was so drawn to her illustrations.. to her sense of humor.. her artwork makes me smile and laugh out loud.  SERIOUSLY.. These senioritas are DA BOMB.  Now when I first released them, I received a few not so nice messages as to how I am depicting older women etc. (they have sold out many many times so thank goodness I don’t rely on the nay sayers LOL)   If people know me, they KNOW that the artwork I sell is a part of my heart and NEVAH EVAH would I want to insult anyone in any way.  When I released the senioritas, all I felt was STRENGTH, and WARMTH.. and SILLYNESS.. Just exactly what I want to be when I am their age.  Are they stunning and gorgeous?  maybe not so much.. but they are REAL.   AND they cater to any   age.. to me they represent women.  Period.  So really sistahs?  I appreciate all comments I receive.. don’t stop.. but before you do, I hope you read this little snippet and understand where I am coming from.. n’k?

So I will start now with SENIORITA GLADYS.  Seriously.  I LOVE HER.  I love her outfit, her face and what she REPRESENTS… oh and her sentiment?  TO DIE FOR.. I swear.. the images are easy… LOL.. it’s pairing them up with the perfect words.

And now meet SENIOR-ita BEVERLY.. she is the optimist in the seniorita clan.. always happy and always finding a reason to smile.  EVEN. IN. THE. RAIN.  I wanna hang out with Bev.  .. but maybe later cuz it looks like she is about to jump in that puddle.  LOL.

The last one on our list is of a baby.  Now just like a “juicy” flower… everyone needs a “juicy” baby in their collection.  I can tell you that I was running dry with names.. I just looked at this baby and named it BABY.  LOL.  But how can a Bella stamp be named BABY.. it can’t..LOL.. so I was in the car with Jayden (for a change.. cuz all I DO IS DRIVE!!!).. and she said something (when she was in a good mood LOL) and I said to her what did you say SNOOKUMS?  … snookums?  hmmmmm??? OK that was it.  Perfect bella name for a perfect bella stamp.

MEET SNOOKUMS.. snookums can be a he baby or  she baby depending on the colours of the outfit.  AND THE TWIRL AT THE TOP OF THE HAT?  I mean.. COME ON.. see? it’s the smallest things that make me soooo happy.  And the quote?  Do we need to discuss my obssession with POOH?  I actually sent this quote to Christine and said please  draw what this quote means to you.. and sure enough .. she made us SNOOKUMS.. double chin and all 🙂

Hiya sistahs.. me again 🙂 LOL.. sick of me yet?  Im kinda getting sick of myself.  Today is Weigh in day.. BLECH.. not looking forward to it  .   Anyone have anything planned for this weekend?  It’s “FAMILY DAY” here so we have Monday off!  That’s not to say that I , DA BELLA, have it off.. but most people do LOL.. Oh and the ARENA… as much as I complain about my life in an arena I enjoy EVERY SECOND of it.. watching Tyler goal tend is just an honor to watch… really he is THAT good.  Although all the parents know how stressed I am through the games and when I am really stressed I put my hood on my head and hope to become invisible LOL.. can anyone relate?  Being a goalie parent is RE-HEALLLLY stressful.  hmph.

Ok enough about me .. where should I start today?  Ah yes…. A SNEAK PEEK!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, one must have a good solid generic images in their stamp library.. some juicy good florals that can be for any occasion.  A stamp you will go back to over and over again.. and this is one of them.. the shading of it, the relaxation of coloring it.. no stress just colouring whilSt watching tv, feeding the kids/animals etc… I would stamp these 100 times, color them and when ANY occasion arises, I would slap it on a card and VOILA!  PERF-ection.. oh and it doesn’t hurt that it has such a wonderful sentiment to go with it 🙂

And Elaineabella not only coloured it but also placed it on a card… gorgeous oui oui?

To me this is just simple, gorgeous and has so much to say.. the flower is so effective and powerful!

Hiya sistahs!  OMG I am so excited for today’s image too!  Another UPTOWNEEEEEEE…

And her name is MAYBELLINE loves MAIL.  Another fond memory and it still happens to this day.. I love going to the mailbox and hoping to get a package or an actual letter from a friend ! (rarely happens LOL)  Well it does happen and that will be for another blog post.

All I can tell you is that Maybelline is BEYOND excited to get a note from her bestie… Let’s keep the art of letter writing alive by sending a Maybelline to a friend .. P.S. you don’t know how difficult it is to come up with these names LOL.  I LOVE the name MAYBELLINEEEEEE.. (aside from the makeup factor)

Hey sistahs.. I hope you are enjoying “the show”! LOL.. I am having so much fun and LOVE all the comments.. I read every single one and so does my daughter Jayden.. LOL.. she says “any comments today mom?”.. and I show her my phone and she goes WOOOOOW mom.. people really love you :)… and I say yes they do!  and she quickly says “not as much as I do…” and I say OF COURSE NOT!  Then she feels good again and proceeds to hum or sing 🙂 LOL

So part of my whole mantra, stamp line, creative process, design ideas all stem  somehow from my childhood… Either  I have a memory .. or things I wished I did as a child..they all come through in my stamps (My artists understand me so well and are so open to some of my crazy ideas)..  the characters can be based on relatives I  have (think SENIORITA WANDA LOL).. people I have met throughout my life.. or actually some of the characters are who I would like to be.. So each image worked on with my artists stem from the heart.. and when I hear my sistahs saying “OH SHE REMINDS ME OF..”.. or “OMG that is SOOOO ME”.. or “OH I USED TO DO THAT TOOO”.. it makes my heart sing and makes my little stamp company continue.  Really.  I want all my stamps to be “relate-able”.. Some images are just good solid generic images (which you will see soon).. but some just pull at my heart strings.  The one I am showing you today does JUST that to me.. Every time I look at them.  And the quote I paired with them? OMG.. makes me cry.  Winnie the pooh is my favorite EVER.. my mom used to read it to me all the time.  That simple bear was such a complex little one.
