Hiya sistahs!

Hope everyone in the U.S. is enjoying their July 4th weekend!  We just celebrated our Canada Day on Wednesday.  This family hasn’t stopped for the last 2 weeks.. now it’s safe to say we are home for the next 2 weeks LOL.. then back out again for a few days 🙂  Hope it is beautiful weather where you are and that you are enjoying it (of course also taking stamping breaks too 🙂 )

Today’s challenge for Bellarific Friday is a SKETCHYPOO!  Not only is it a sketch, but it is also a challenge for our BABEROONIS to use the sketch and our STAMP OF THE MONTH Thank you HOPPY POPPY (20% off ALL MONTH LONG!)

one of our sistahs reminded me that today was NOT the first TOOSDAY of the month and she was right LOL.. my last couple of weeks have been so crazy that this is what happened LOL.  Bellas make big booboos when they have crazy weeks .  Enjoy da SALE!

Oh sistahs.. what a crazy emotional week.  I am SO SO sorry I have been MIA.  🙁

we travelled to Montreal (our home town) to have my son Tyler’s Bar Mitzvah.. a rite of passage for Jewish boys who turn 13.  It was MONTHS of preparation for this ceremony for our close family.. all organized long distance (we live in Toronto).  It was such a beautiful day and we arranged that it be on my birthday which made that day extra special 🙂  The day couldn’t have gone better until it was over and everyone left and got a call from my mother that my stepfather was in the hospital and suffered a massive heart attack!!   CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?  Thank goodness he pulled through.. as happy as that day was for us was just as scary when we heard the news.  Thank GOODNESS he is okay and recovering in the cardiac unit … so thankful.  So you can understand what an emotional rollercoaster I was on all week!

Today’s theme was a SKETCHYPOO

We all have different interpretations of the sketch and that’s what makes it fun!  I try to always begin my card by choosing a sketch and my papers.  Everything falls into place after that.  The sketch may not end up looking like it was “intended” to…. but who cares? lol.. it’s a starting point to get DA JOOCES flowing.  I am in the process of making myself a binder with lots of sketches to peruse through before I start my card.  It helps me SOO much.  I actually started a Pinterest board with sketches that you are more than welcome to follow :).. HERE is the BOARD. I also have a Stamping Bella inspiration board (i know.. shocking LOL).. you’re more than welcome to follow that too :).. Pinterest and Instagram are the DEVIL.. oh ya and carbs are the devil TOO  LOL.  They all have that same “junkie” glazed eye effect on me… a hopeless addiction :)… oh ya .. and youtube.  hmph.  Lots of vices this bella has.

And my little boy’s birthday. OMG He’s 13.   I’m a parent of a teenager.  That means I must be an adult.. OMG.  I can’t be.. I’m still a kid.  A teenager? Seriously?  and in the Jewish religion he is a MAN.  UMMMM… not in my books this morning lol..  My little “Ty Ty” (Tyler) is 13.  yikes.  he’s 13.  Where did the time go?  hmph.  As you can tell I am a bit “Farklempt”  this morning.. all teary eyed and mushy hearted… And let me tell you.. he sure ACTED like a teenager this morning.  double triple QUINTUPLE HMPH!!!

So I wanted to take a pic of his angry face this morning and he wouldn’t let me… so I posted this picture on facebook when he was about 7 just to embarass him a little .  Take THAT teenager HA!

I rummaged through my dies and found one that I never used before.. shocking I know.  It was the TIM HOLTZ MATCHBOOK die.. That’s not a card is it?? It’s a MATCHBOOK .. LOL.  I used HOPPY POPPY HAS A PREZZIE and a vintage Avery label with the sentiment on the bottom of the matchbook.  Here’s the front

and here’s the inside … So much fun!  I used my ZIG CLEAN COLOR BRUSH MARKERS and some INKTENSE colored pencils for some of the shading.  LOVE!

Hiya sistahs!  Why does it feel like Friday when it’s only Tuesday ? LOL.. long week already!

First of all, I wanted to share with you that I TOO wait desperately for my order.. LOL.. as desperately if not MORE desperate than you (is that possible?).  Was so excited to open my mail box and got a box FULL of DIS(this)!

so much fun!

Is anyone addicted to YouTube like I am?  OMG.. I’m SO addicted.  Every night Youtube is my best friend .. that and my Ipad and a pair of headphones 🙂

I bought these markers a while ago… started watching videos.. and now hooked on playing with them LOL…

I watched THIS VIDEO by Jennifer Mcguire.. she has two more … careful.. she’s an enabler LOL

So I decided to play!  The first colours I always try are portrait colours.  They are my fave.  And since I got my big box yesterday.. I was SO excited to pull PAMPERED out and play with her 🙂

So in this picture, my ink smeared a bit which made me scream and curse.. but then I quickly got over it because I knew she is JUST for PRACTICE.  (It took me about 5 minutes to  calm down and stop cursing LOL)

Here i used FLESH and PALE PINK.  this is my new GO TO face colors 🙂

then I coloured the rest in with other combos I tested.. and then it began to bleed.. and not behave (watercolor has a mind of it’s own). so I just showed you the towel and the face and cucumbers below :)..I also tested the PINK on her cheek which is not the right pink but that’s ok! now I know!   I will continue to  play.. and practice and try to tame my temper 🙂  I love that they have a teeny tip.. you can get them in all of da little bella nooks and crannies.  LOVE!

This is the 60 set above.. they are so bright and vivid.  Just gorgeous.  I can stare at the chart all day long 🙂

I will try to practice some more and share some more with you throughout the week!
