first a reminder to send your Bellarific Friday submissions by tomorrow morning 🙂 (send to emily@stampingbella.com).  I am not loading until the afternoon cuz my little Tyler is receiving an award in school that we have to attend.. a reward for the most adjusted in a new school.  I am so thrilled for my little one!

We are VERY busy in Bellaland these days trying to prepare for our upcoming show at the CREATIV FESTIVAL and the NATIONAL WOMEN’s SHOW.  It’s our first jaunt on the road and are so excited!! So won’t you join us from near and far and in between?  will you? huh? huh? will you?  Our booth is built.. our make and takes are prepared (Paulabella and Lindabella will be demoing all day Saturday October 17th) How exciting is THAT?  so if you don’t really want to visit Ryan, Dena, Helen and I.. then at least come say hi to Paula and Linda..LOL! (just kidding.. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULDN”T WANNA SEE RYAN?? ).. we have other great make and takes being planned.. one different one on each day!

2 of these (actually a different one for the second one) will be greeting you at the booth too!  She is life size and even gives autographs! LOL

Another piece of news in Bellaland is that we have a brand new stamping teacher!  She is so talented, innovative, current and just a joy to be around!  You will LOVEY her! I PROMISE!!!  She has already led some Java Wednesdays at the store and everybody fell in love with her! Her Name is Shelley!

Another yummy thing is that as you all know we have been working on developing www.scrappingbella.com .  Well, it’s finally in the final development stages!  Go take a look there and tell me what you think of our little sample of our new design!

Ok now for another little funny story…

Note the lip gloss lodged in this “potted plant” (these little paper flowers  will be giveaways at the show that our Shelley made for us).. This little lip gloss looks innocent right?

So this is the scoop on the lip gloss.  I went to target in Buffalo and I am always in the makeup department… and almost always lost in the lip gloss department.  I am ADDICTED to lipgloss.. but it has to look natural.. it can’t be sticky (MAC) cuz if it is sticky then my hair gets stuck to it.. then i walk around with hair on my cheek.. you get the picture.. it ain’t PURTY.  So this lip gloss called out my name.  I read the box it came in and it said that it was clear when applied and then promised to “react” with your skin and assume your lip tone.. so basically it promised to enhance the NATURAL tone of my lip.  It also promised to not be sticky.  WHAT MORE could a sistah want?? a stickiless, neutral shiny yummy lipgloss right?

So I bought it and put it in my purse.  One day at the office I found it in my purse and decided to put it on. So I slathered it on.  Felt minty and yummy and STICKY FREE  on my lips. AND I FORGOT ABOUT IT. Sure enough our lovely Laurie P. came in the store to shop (Hi Laurie!) and all I hear is “WHOOOOAAAA BABBBBBBY”.  I stared at her a little puzzled, I must say and asked her what was wrong?!  She says to me, ” YOUR LIPS!!!!” and I casually say.. “it’s the NEW LIPGLOSS “.. ” ISN”T it GREAT?”  Laurie says.. “YA” (but did NOT sound convincing).  So I quietly snuck to the bathroom to take a looksy and what do I see?  THESE FLORESCENT PURPLE SMACKERS staring at me in the face.  OMG OMG OMG.  I was MORTIFIED!! I took toilet paper and WIPED it off promptly and was so embarassed to re-enter bellaland.  But I did.. with my head hanging low.. LOL and of course WITHOUT the PERFECT lipgloss.

Now let’s talk about one of our new CELEBRITY artists..LOL.  All my artists are celebrities in my eyes.  Oh how I love them all so!

Meet MISS MINTABELLA.. known as MISS MINT.. or known as my cousin PAM.  Her bio will ‘splain how we crossed paths.. a little weird I must say and SHOULDA COME SOONER!!!  As you all may know, I have been working diligently for a LOOONG time on our new website WWW.SCRAPPINGBELLA.COM! This eagerly anticipated LAUNCH will be *fingers crossed* on November 1st or sooner! SOO.. to appease my scrappers, MISS MINT and I have collaborated and made a PHENOM starter selection of SCRAPPY stamps… they will be called SCRAP ‘INK stamps.. She has come out with AMAZING concepts, and unfortunately her wit and humor are almost identical to mine so BEWARE of the most PHENOM SCRAP ‘INK stamps to come!!  So here’s a 40 image TASTER of what will be a HUGE collection by November!  Remember.  These stamps are HYBRID stamps meaning you can use them both in cardmaking and scrapbooking.  I have made sizes of the stamps that will mostly fit both a scrapbook page and a card.. so STRAP YOUR SEATBELT on and ENJOY!

“Shout out to the stampin’ sistahood!  My name is Pam but I’m probably best known as Miss Mint, at least to those in the digital scrapbooking world.  I am the owner and lead designer at PEPPERMINTCREATIVE.com, an online shop specializing in original digital and hybrid scrapbooking supplies.  I have been a graphic designer for some time but when I accidentally stumbled upon digital scrapbooking 4 years ago, it was love at first “click”.

Now I spend my days (and sadly most of my nights) in my jammies under the glare of my monitor uttering profanities at Photoshop as it unexpectedly shuts down on me mid design.  It’s the best.

So you might be wondering (or you might not, but I will tell you anyway), how Emily and I may have crossed paths.  I was going to tell you an exciting and elaborate tale, but the truth is, we’re COUSINS (how’s that for nepotism?) and the only truly bizarre part of the story is how long it took us to realize that we could collaborate in some way.

It was my second or third visit to the MOUTH WATERING CRAFT OASIS that is the official Stamping Bella store here in Toronto that we finally sat down and discussed.  Bella to Mint. Mint to Bella.  I left with a notepad full of demands ideas and ran home to start drawing.  And Emily made the rest happen.  And NOW I am SOOOO excited to be sharing my stamps with you and I am beyond grateful to Emily who, through this adventure, has helped me rediscover my passion for drawing and doodling.  I am the luckiest SISTAH EVAH!”

Ok… How’s THAT for BRILLIANCE?  Now MORE Brilliance!  It’s the NEW SCRAPLINES by our very own MISS MINT!  She is AWESOME isn’t she?  You have to tell her that by leaving a comment k?  PLOMISE? (as Jayden would say.. P.S. it is I who says that all the time now and Jayden says it properly.. LOL)

SO let’s discuss SCRAPLINES.  I think it is versatile, and SO MUCH fun to use!  As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, these stamps look like simple outlines as an image but once you USE them, you will be AMAZED!  Stamp on your SCRAPS, cut out (and by cutting, I, in no way mean PRECISELY!  the wonkier you cut around the outline (scrapline) the cuter!), and apply.. thaSSSS it! thasss ALL!  This is the first BATCH of these stamps.. ant they come in different sizes per package.. for inchies, scrapbook pages (large and substantial enough)  and CARDS!! HERE WE GOOOOO!!

Now let’s discuss the DEEVINE adorable ELLIA!  AKA GREENBEANBABY.  We met coincidentally a long time ago regarding a certain company who “stole” our images.. she came to my rescue and fought for both of us! LOL.. and we just happened to cross paths again as I was just enamored with her talent and artwork. I just had to name these kidlets after Tyler’s friends..LOL They are SO PROUD!

Here’s a little bit about Ellia:

Ellia is addicted to, and in love with a few things.  Her family, paper, a sharp x-acto blade, a brand new glue stick and a whopping cup of coffee!.  It is with these necessities that she is fueled by the love to create cut paper illustrations/  Long after her kids are asleep, her nights are spent cutting out cutesie characters for various clients as well as art for licensing, and products for her shop.  She is forever inspired by her family, childhood memories and retro goodness.

Ellia lives in Milwaukee with her talented husband, her two kids, two cats and a new puppy.  They collect DVDs, video games, books, comics, toys and paper.  They all enjoy superheroes, cartoons, and homemade cupcakes.

Hiya sistahs!!

Well, it’s friday again and I have made a vow that I will try my bestest to post more blog entries.. I DO have a lot to say YA KNOW.. (i know that those who know me find that hard to believe)

This week has been a whirlwhind!  Had AMAZING VISITAHS in da store!  Danabella came all the way from Calgary to give me HUGGIES and I was so happy! We had some alone time and got to SHMOOZE… it was like old times!  Leslie G and Michelle Leishman came to the store too to meet and it was Michelle’s birthday yesterday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHE….it was great to see all of you yesterday! MWAHHHH!!!!

Today will be a FABULICIOUS day as well!! I am expecting some more SISTAHS.. don’t be jealous.. I know you are…. don’t be jealous… are you jealous?  come on.. are ya??  I AM EVEN JEALOUS AND I AM HERE!!!!! (lolol).  Lindabella and Pinky Dinky Doo and Laura Evans and Janet Rossi and our local friend DIANE RAM (ya THATS you Diane.. shhh.. don’t tell her boss) will be coming to visit today and I CANNOT WAIT!! More huggies for me!!!!
