I am declaring today STAMPY weNNNNsday.. just because I CAN

Hiya sistahs,

So in order to get my mojo going, I decided to feature a sample of a stamp every WeNNsday… and you know what else? If you place a comment below you will have a chance to WIN that stamp. Now how’s DAT for mojo? LOL

It may not necessarily be a card.. it may be an art journal page or something else that is crafty… but it will be something to inspire and get YOUR mojo going… n’k? ready?

I have had an ideaR swirling in my head for days and I finally sat down yesterday to GET IT OUT.. don’t you hate when that happens? It HAUNTED me..LOL

So I decided to use our JUST MY TYPE Cling stamp.. Oh how I love that stamp soooo much! I have been a wee bit obssessed with my security envelopes and their designs and used it on the page (the orange on the top right hand corner, and the black and white top right and bottom)… I used washi tape and vintage office paper to write myself a note 🙂 “dear me, you can do it.. LOVE me”..LOL.. Yes I talk to myself.. is there something wrong with that? You know I love collage.. this page in my moleskine journal was sooo much fun to make and I don’t have anything “haunting me” anymore.. well.. I do still have some ideaRs.. LOL

This would be adorable on a card.. same type of layout with a stamped message to the recipient or the sentiments that come with the stamp!

it’s ART JOURNALING TOOOOSDAY!

And I feel da MOJO coming back 🙂 I do!!!! YEEHAAAA!!! I made a mess on my table much to Ryan’s chagrin

and this is a “tame” mess..LOL

and I let my collaging instinct go CUH-RAZY! Came up with lots of neat pages you may have seen on my instagram feed.. but will show some goodies throughout the week. I decided that I NEED to be crafty EVERY DAY.. for my sanity.. I can’t recommend it enough.. whether it means sticking something down, scribbling, writing, decorating your calendar… whatever.. one NEEDS this.. or maybe it’s just moi? LOL

Ok this week’s theme for AJ TOOSDAY (on TOOSDAY I might add).. is to make a GRID. Grids are phenom for card layouts, scrapbooking pages, art journaling pages.. as noisy and as messy as I am, I enjoy a clean nice page.. weird no? Sometimes I need the “BUSY” but most times I see myself needing some white space to rest my eyes… whats your style?

Ok here is my page. Have I mentioned I am obssessed with security envelopes and their patterns? If any of my sistahs get some good ones from their bills with interesting patterns, feel free to mail me some :).. I love (1) mail and i love (2) security envelopes (oh have I mentioned that? LOL). So on my grid, I punched out 9 squares of security envelopes that I have collected and purchased for a clean background.. added a vintage foil star, bingo number and vintage image and a wee teeny tiny piece of tape stapled to the top to balance it out… I have really been ~~interested~~ OBSSESSED with vintage photos.. but not just any photo.. photos that speak to me.. faces that express a feeling I am feeling.. whether it be personal, friendship, family.. This photo just caught my eye.. a page dedicated to my besties :).. clean and simple.

I took some watercolor inks (you can use acrylics, watercolors.. whatevah).. and I made a pattern of hearts on a page

Here’s the full page! I may use this as background paper for a card… stay tuned!

Ok so your challenge this week? due next TOOSDAY? Make a page of patterns and then use it as collage fodder on a page…. ok? clear as mud?

Hiya sistahs,

well it has been AGAIN one of those weeks where time flies along with my mojo lol. Where is it? Can anyone help me find it? (my mojo).. I don’t know if it’s DA SUMMAH that does it to me.. or what but it better come back soon. I’m doing a couple of pattern exercises with my watercolors.. I am hoping that drums up some inspiration.. and as soon as it comes, I will share some goodies with you. PROMISE. LOL

it’s AJ WENNNNSDAY

Well, Art Journaling TOOSDAY has been on hiatus for a while and never thought it affected anyone… well in fact it has.. and I am happy that I heard from sistahs that they loved AJ toosdays and loved an excuse to do something creative in their journals.. I BE HAPPY! lol

so here we go.. this week was an anything goes 🙂

This is one page by moi.. notice the caption on her dress and then look at her expression.. LOL.. doesn’t she look like she wants to SKIP to her LOU? LOL

After YEARS of art journaling, and searching for my style.. and for ME (ps still searching).. I have realized that I LOVE drawing faces, I love watercolor, and I love collage. So I am sticking to it! LOL

I had to share.

I fell in love with Hy and I hope you do too. He reminds me of my late grandfather in law papa Issie. RIP.

I hope to grow up and have his soul and his passion.. his kindness and his intensity in his craft. I just love the 94.5 year old Hy.

its a yucky wet blechy bellarific SUNDAY here in toronto..

It’s so weird how the weather can totally affect your mood etc no?

Sistahs I am so sorry I am late with this post.. it’s been such a crazy week I am not sure if I am coming or going.. kids were in camp this week.. then they decided they wanted to change, then I am doing a mad scramble trying to find another one.. don’t ask… GRRRRR but I do think I found one for them so PLEASE wish me luck this week LOL and forgive my lateness.

I have also realized that not having AJ TOOSDAY has really changed my creative habits and I need them BACK.. so as of this week, we will be having AJ TOOSDAY again. Long weekend over hereeeee! and the sale continues! bellabirthday2013 for 25% off the whole online shop!

Just thought I would say toodles for the weekend now. I will try to put up Bellarific Friday for tomorrow but since I am leaving to montreal very early I am not sure it will be up until Monday 🙁 So you all have an extra weekend to work on your cards for me ok? I will post on Tuesday FOR SURE. Im sorry for the delay 🙁

we have bribed our children to stay in Montreal with their grandparents for all of next week. Let’s take bets how many of them will return with us on Monday LOL. I say 2. hmph.
