Elaineabella here, a little late with my usual Wednesday post. This month is being a little unkind to me so far, but I managed to get my video edited and uploaded today, phew!
A final mermaid themed card for the year.
Those little octopus friends are just irresistible. So cute.

Today I’ve got a little LUNETTES inspiration for you! Love these little characters that Kristin Farnsworth created for us.
She’s such a fun little character, and there are so many ways you could colour that hair. It just invites you to go a little wild with the colour choices! I of course, coloured her using Copic markers.

That’s it for today! I’ll catch you on Wednesday with another card and video.

Hello there!
Are you ready for a new Scenic Saturday post here on the Blogabella? This week I’ve had fun mixing and matching some old with the new on my card, pairing the lovely yet headstrong Oddball Jane Austen with the Bella Cottage from the latest release.
I’m sure that it is no surprise to any of you that I am always especially excited when new background stamps are added to the store. They are always designed to work perfectly with any of the various character collections available at Stamping Bella, which makes them extremely versatile. As soon as I got the Bella Cottage in my hands I knew that it would make for the quintessential country cottage in Oddball Jane Austen’s idyllic world.
I stamped and masked off Jane before stamping the cottage right over top of her at about waist height. When you are trying to create a sense of distance and perspective with your background stamps, the higher up you place them on the card front, the further away from the character they will appear to be. Conversely, the lower you stamp the background image, the closer it will appear to be. So if I had stamped the cottage right at Jane’s feet, the perspective would make it look more like a child’s play house rather than an actual place for her to call home. Once the mask was removed, I could then use my Copic markers to to draw in a meandering path from the front door to Jane at the front of the card, reinforcing the sense of distance that I wanted to create between her and the cottage. The color palette is soft and rather muted as I was going for the look of a grey, drizzly day with the potential for rain. The end result is a charming scene worthy of one of Jane Austen’s novels. 😉
Stay crafty my friends!

Let’s get into the inspiration! This week the Babes were asked to create something inspired by one of their team mates. Either a specific card, or just their style. Feel free to play along and do the same and share your creations with us!
Michele chose one of Ginger’s recent cards for inspiration, and I love how it turned out! You can see Ginger’s card HERE.
Delphine chose one of my cards as inspiration, and I love how hers turned out! She used a different stamp from the same collection, and used the same layout. You can see my card HERE.
Jenny created this gorgeous festive card using inspiration from one of Alice’s cards! I love that you can see Alice’s influence, but this remains totally Jenny too. You can see Alice’s card HERE.
Sandra chose to be inspired by our wonderful Jenny and her brilliant shaker cards! Love the results, and this card is just so fun.
A sweet Tiny Townie Alice card from our lovely Alice! She chose to be inspired by one of Michele’s beautiful cards. You can see Michele’s card HERE.
Ginger was wonderfully inspired by one of Tamara’s cards! Love that heart background with the inlaid gold hearts. You can see Tamara’s card HERE.
Like Michele, Debra was inspired by Ginger’s recent Little Cutie Mermaid card. It’s so fun to see how two people can be inspired in totally different ways by the same card. Debra was inspired by Ginger’s clever cutting out of the images. You can see Ginger’s card HERE.
Finally, I chose Sandra as my inspiration! I always thoroughly enjoy her use of background papers to set the scene, so I went with that. Happily I had similar papers to those she used on a recent card. See Sandra’s card HERE.
I didn’t film this colouring of the Foxy is Stuck image. But I’ll include my previous video in case you’d like to watch that!
You can watch my previous colouring of the Foxy is Stuck stamp in the video below. If you enjoy watching please do like the video and subscribe over on my YouTube channel.

I’m back with more Spec-Tacular inspiration today, albeit a day late! Unfortunately I’ve come down with something, and wasn’t up to sitting at my desk yesterday. Feeling a little better today, so here’s my Stanley Sunshine card and video! I can confirm, he’s a great day brightener.
