Balloonabella in Polychromos:

I recently coloured Balloonabella using my Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils to celebrate passing 2000 followers on my Instagram account!

I finally got around to popping her on a card, so here’s my CAS card design featuring Balloonabella:

As you can see, I also used the coordinating Cut it Out die to die cut her. So glad my fussy-cutting days are over. 😉

If you would like to see how I colour using coloured pencils, you can watch the video below or in HD over on YouTube.

In the video above you will see exactly how I approach the process of colouring a stamped image using coloured pencils. I used the same approach when colouring Balloonabella.

As you will see in the video, I don’t tend to use solvent to blend the pencils, I just use the pencils themselves.

More Info:

Pop on over to my blog – Marker Geek – where I’m sharing some information on my personal favourite pencil sharpeners. Not the most glamorous of topics, but essential if you love colouring with pencils! You can also find full details on the rest of the supplies used on my Balloonabella card over there, here’s the link: Stamping Bella Card & My Favourite Pencil Sharpeners!

Pencil Colour Map:

I put together a little colour map showing all the pencils I used to colour Balloonabella!

I love what you did with your colored pencils. The coloring is amazing! I’ll have to watch your video to see exactly how you did it. Without a die cutter my fussy cutting days will never be over! Boo Hoo! I guess I have to live with it.
I’ve never used solvent before and I don’t know if I ever would. I don’t like using toxic chemicals unless I can go outside or open some windows. Probably not a good idea when the house is closed up tight in the winter. I love it all!
