Hello bellas!

Amy here and we are well into October which means I’ve got another card in my Year of Flowers with the Tiny Townie Garden Girls to share for this Scenic Saturday post. The lovelyTiny Townie Garden Girl Marigold is in the spotlight and I paired her with the Fall Backdrop for a quick and easy background. Her floral ensemble was colored in the classic red and gold hues of most marigold varieties, not only because they are beautiful but because they encapsulate the whole feel of October. All of the foliage has changed colors and the trees are dropping their leaves to create golden hued carpets covering the dormant grass. The marigolds and other fall flowers, still blossoming despite the frosty nights, all seem to be participating in this autumnal make-over with their warm color palette. It is a glorious sight to see.

As for my tip today, it’s a simple one but something to keep in mind. I fell in love with this large sentiment after I had already stamped and colored up Marigold’s scene and there wasn’t quite enough room to stamp it without it interfering with part of the design. But because the lettering was nice and large I knew I could mask off Marigold’s head and stamp the sentiment so it appears to be in the sky behind her. It doesn’t matter that the last word is only partially seen because our minds automatically fill in the missing parts and can read the sentiment just as easily as if the whole word was unobstructed. So remember… masking can be a stampers best friend, LOL!

Stay cozy and crafty my friends!

I love those Tiny Townies! They are just too cute for words. I have a bunch of them but I am not sure if I have this one. If I don’t, I have to get it! I love how you made her fall with the colors you used. I wasn’t thinking of her like that but I just might have to! You did a really good job with her.
