it’s Saturday with AMYBELLA!

but first, here’s another teaser of what’s to come :). Sorry.. I know I am so mean! but I LOOOOOOOOVE you 🙂

and now back to our regularly scheduled program :). AMYBELLA!

Hello Bella fans, Amy here with a new Saturday scenic card to share. This week Tiny Townie Hayley the Hero was jumping out at me, demanding that she finally be the star of her own card and who am I to disagree? This fearless cutie embodies that hidden hero that I believe resides in every woman and what a fun way to send a bit of encouragement to a friend who may be struggling or experiencing a moment of big change in her life. Just being a friend and letting them know you are there for them can be a heroic act all by itself sometimes.

For the background, I wanted to create a rooftop environment for our hero to be inhabiting. In the past I have done a couple of these scenes but always with a dark night sky and lots of greys. This time I wanted to try my hand at a day lit urban scene that would be a lot lighter and brighter because if you think about it, even though there is a lot of stone and concrete making up the buildings and skyscrapers we know there is also a lot of glass reflecting and bouncing light  all around. I actually ended up playing with a lot of my lighter pastel Copics like the low BVs, BGs, Ys and RVs all mixed in with my greys to come up with this stylized rooftop scene.
Well I hope you have found a bit of inspiration today and have a wonderfully creative weekend!
