it’s a new year.. it’s a new little word chosen to represent my year, and a surprise!
Happy new year to my sistahs! I think it is now 5 years I have been blogging… OMG.. when I think about it, I realize how quickly time passes… Crazy I tell ya!
So it’s a new year… 2012.. I always wonder what it is in store for us.. so far the last 3 days were pretty good..LOL.. (it’s so good that I make myself giggle..LOL)
So last year I talked about my one little word for the year.. (i just had to look it up.. that’s how seriously I took it.. that’s how quickly it was forgotten.. 🙁 ). The word for last year was COMMITMENT. Guess what? Without even THINKING about last year’s word, I told my girlfriends that this years word is COMMIT…LOL. So clearly I need to focus on this no? YES.
This year I have a LOT of goals to COMMIT to. I want a NEW word next year LOL so I have to conquer this one.
this is in NO particular order cuz ALL of them have to get done 🙂
(1) I am turning 40 in June. I need to lose weight. I need to focus on myself again. When I see grey in my hair, I can’t wait for Paulabella to visit lol.. I need to take care of MY needs.. make time for me to COMMIT to MYSELF
(2) I will COMMIT to the DUKAN diet. I have seen all my friends around me melt away. I wanna melt too. I am COMMITTING to melt!
(3) EXERCISE.. slowly.. I hate it with a passion.. but I remember how I felt when I COMMITTED to exercising and never felt better
(4) MINIMIZE.. I need to commit to NOT overindulge. To enjoy what I HAVE. and USE what I have and to be HAPPY.
(5) PURGE.. I need to PURGE what I don’t need… not “oh.. I will use this some time”.. if I haven’t used it in 5 years, I think it is time to part ways
(6) SPEND MORE QUALITY TIME WITH MY FAMILY… COMMIT to them.. not to my laptop..LOL. Be more ACTIVE with them
(7) TAKE MORE PICTURES.. REMEMBER THE LITTLE MOMENTS.. I look back.. and I don’t have as many pictures as I would like to have..
(8) JOURNAL MORE.. be more honest with my family.. with myself.
(9) COMMIT to PROJECT LIFE.. Commit myself to sit 1 night a week and document the week’s activities, nonsense, laughs, cries, feelings.. cuz ya know what? I want my family to look back and see what we accomplished.. to laugh at the memories.. to read my honest journaling. to smile.
(10) Focus on LIFEBOOK this year.. similar concept to Project life but DIFFERENT.. stay tuned for Angela and I.. and what we come up with!
(11) ARE YOU BORED YET? just checking cuz I am not done.. LOL.. I am COMMITTED to this list.
(12) SAY I LOVE YOU MORE. HUG MORE. LAUGH MORE. KISS MORE.
(13) LIVE LIKE I WILL NEVER HAVE REGRETS
(14) READ MORE
(15) CREATE AMAZING NEW THINGS for my sistahs.. we already have something REVOLUTIONARY in stamping in the works.. you will FAINT!
(16) CREATE, CREATE CREATE.. PAINT more..have the GUTS to call myself an ARTIST.
(17) BLOG MORE.. maybe even VIDEO more to make it more personal 🙂
(18) LEARN more.. from classes, from other people.. suck it up like a sponge.. always keep my brain working
(19) FOCUS
(20) MAKE TIME
I think that’s it.. actually I am SURE that there are a million more things but I think I have to tackle this list first.

now for the surprise! Well we tried a forum on our website and it didn’t really work because we couldn’t focus on the upkeep of it.. no one had the time to take care of it and watch it and COMMIT to it to blossom SOOOOO….
Stamping Bella is back at SPLITCOAST STAMPERS! This is an amazing website with lots of information, stamping advice, galleries etc. And we will have our own member forum there AGAIN (we were one of the founding member companies there) so we can chat and blab about releases, diets, commitments, lifebooking etc… I know many sistahs who have developed very close friendships from my last forum and that is my goal here. To find crafty friends that don’t look at you weird when you sniff a piece of paper with happiness LOL (I have done that in front of my REGULAR friends and I don’t want to tell you what they thought of me..). So won’t you join us there? Start a thread.. let’s blab! I love the interaction.. I will be there all the time.. cuz that is another one of my COMMITMENTS.

Hiya tootsie rolls!
Well I am in a better mood today :). I have been working on a contract for a long time and it has FINALLY come to fruition! Guess where Bella is gonna be? Well, if you are in the U.S., I don’t think it will affect you 🙁 but here in Canada, there is a NATIONAL chain of 27 stores called DESERRES that have given me the privilege of selling to them :). I am on CLOUD NINE! They are beautiful stores.. just where we deserve to be.. oui oui? .. I am so excited BUT my hands aren’t… do you have ANY IDEA-R how much cutting and packaging we have to do??? And the other distributors we sell to? and did I mention I may be *insert shriek here* Allergic-T (i dunno why Tyler always added a T to allergic..LOL.. I also don’t know why I felt I had to share that nugget..) to RUBBAH!!! My hands have been in SUCH poor shape for the past 2 years and I am starting to think it may be the rubbah. How Ironic is that? Have you ever heard of a cobbler being allergic to SHOESIES???? hmmmmmm???
Hmph.
Ok so enough feeling sorry for myself. I am in a good place. I am happy. I am also SO proud of our stamping teacher.. Christineabella… how many times I have BEGGED her to be a baberooni but she doesn’t wanna.. so maybe if you go to her blog and ask, she may say yes? I have never experienced such BEDLAM in BELLALAND (lol.. bedlam in bellaland) as when Christine has a class going on. They are JAM packed.. full of techniques and Fun.. and she is just such a doll to take a class from. She honestly goes above and beyond.. the first few classes she even FED her students with sweets! Ok.. enough gushing. Here are some samples of her classes. YOU TELL ME what you think. And if you are local.. or if you are close enough to come.. I ENCOURAGE you to come and experience a Christine class for yourself! She is current in her techniques, her coloring will WOW you.. and we are so lucky she gets bored easily because the cards and projects she comes up with monthly are INSANELY brilliant!

what I’ve been up to :)
so sistahs.. we need to catch up don’t we? I feel like I have been SO disconnected.. hmph. So what can we talk about… hmm??
Books? I finished an AMAZING book.. I just found it such an easy read… a great story line.. I LOVED IT and would recommend it wholeheartedly! It’s called YOU AGAINST ME by JENNY DOWNHAM.. Really enjoyed it. I discovered a new website that I am totally going to from now on for recommendations of my future books.. its called GOODREADS.. I absolutely think it is an invaluable resource if you are an avid reader.. you get recommendations, book club suggestions, and synopses of each book. LOVE IT. I have now started another book called “GOODNIGHT BEAUTIFUL”.. plot looks juicy.. so excited to spend MORE quality time with da IPAD..LOL
Have you read anything great you can recommend?
I also have to HIGHLY recommend an online class I have been taking (Actually I have taken MANY recently..I am SO overeducated already..LOL). This one is called “SUPPLIES” me by JANE DAVENPORT. I am in LOVE with this adorable Ozzie… This class teaches you how to use your art supplies, drawing fundamentals, and it’s just PURE juiciness.. her class is SO current, Jane is SO adorable.. and this class is worth EVERY PENNY. And there may be a little “SUPPLIES” (lol.. surprise) coming soon to a BELLALAND near you… you will just have to wait.. but trust me.. you will be VERYYYY HAPPY. So get acquainted with Jane.. you will not be sorry. I have also signed up for her next class called I HEART DRAWING.. I CANNOT WAIT!!! If/WHEN you sign up, mention to her that emabella sent you :)… SO…. do you think you can guess where this is going? Let me know what your guess is!
I am also very quiet because I am working on a new stamp line for art journalers.. the first set will be out VERY soon… I smell a release coming.. do you? *sniff********

I am also trying to keep our home page up to date with new goodies that come to bellaland.. you should check out the new s.e.i. TUMBLE DYE inks.. Hiya sistahs!
I don’t know about you but I can’t sit still when watching tv. My favorite show right now is X factor. It’s the type of show where I get depressed when it’s over 🙁
So what I do if I would like to take a break from cutting rubber ? I DOODLE.. I ZENTANGLE in my moleskine (we call it a “moley” in Bellaland).. It’s very relaxing..soothing..mind numbing.. Sometimes you need a mind numbing activity no?
So I decided once my doodles were done, to use my copics.. play around with combos.. I whipped out my Copic Swatch Book (WHICH I LOVE) and while I was watching my show I just coloured away and I was VEEEERRRRY clever and marked down the colors I was using. I was wanting to find colors I NEEDED to have in my journaling kit on the go.. and I like these that I chose.. if anyone sees a combo that they recommend that isn’t there, please leave me a comment! would love to try it out on my next doodle page!

As you know, we just came back from ARCHIVER’S SCRAPFEST in Minnesota. This was an amazing event and we had so much fun.. SO much fun..
Line ups were crazy
I also decided at the meet n greet to be all SNAZZY and wear my shoes without socks.. OMG… have I mentioned that the mall is 27 square miles?
Needless to say it was flip flops for me for the next three days.. I can’t even tell you about the blisters but I think Lindabella saw BONE… LESIONS.. I was hobbling 🙁
Our stamps looked PHENOM in a prime spot in Archivers.. I was so proud
Between Linda and Paula teaching and me demoing, it was a crazy weekend.. met so many great people .. ate good onion rings (shh don’t tell) and had such good laughs with my friends :).
I have SO many stories to tell that I don’t know where to start.. so I think I will just leave this post as a GRATEFUL post. A thank you to everyone in my life for being in my life.

Well we are all packed (ok.. Ryan is… i’m procrastinating a little..) .. Paulabella and Lindabella are snuggling as we speak, ready to take off tomorrrow and meet us in MINNEAPOLIS MINNESOTA! We will be at SCRAPFEST in the MALL OF AMERICA and I am just thinking about how I can get my butt in an AMERICAN GIRL store for me *ahem* I mean Jayden.. LOL
We are SO looking forward to this although I am a bit petrified of the huge crowds that I will be surrounded by.. apparently it is JAM PACKED… I am very shy sistahs.. what am I gonna do?!?!?
I am not sure I will be able to log into my STAMPING BELLA facebook account.. but please “LIKE” us there so you can see the goings on.. if you don’t see anything there, then be sure to request me (Emily Block) as a friend on facebook as I will be posting updates there. I will try to blog from there but I most likely won’t be able to but again, I will try!I need to be connected!
Also, if you are a local sistah, be sure to call the store tomorrow as we are having a “BOSS IS AWAY” sale in store only….The reason why I am telling you to call is because I am really not sure what is on sale..LOL. Denabella and HELENabella are up to no good. I hear them whispering and keep asking them what is on sale but they are telling me not to worry about it and just have fun in Minneapolis. I am thinking I should be worried.

Also, Christine Dol is teaching SOLD OUT classes in the store.. I am not sure if there are any seats available in the classes coming up but if you are interested in taking a class, hers are the ones to take. I tell you, each class is different.. there are techniques and styles that will make your jaw drop. She is SUPER sweet, super accomodating and PROMISE you will not regret it. You will meet amazing people in Bellaland and make lifelong friendships. That’s what makes my heart sing 🙂
Ok, now that my heart is singing, I think I will torture you with another little hint of our surprise… I am not sure if you will get it.. and I am not prepared for you to “get it” yet.. BWAHAHAHA… so just enjoy the teasers… My “partner” in crime and I (NO don’t ask who it is cuz I ain’t tellin’)…. Maybe if you ask HELEN, she may tell you but I threatened to BEAT her if she did so I think you are outta luck. My partner in crime (hehehe) and I are going to be REVOLUTIONIZING some older concepts, freshening things up and will create some new terminology which will become a very important household term for you and your friends. I PROMISE. Ok, enough torturing.. I am tired.. LOL and need to sleeeeep as I am waking up very early to hopefully get a bit of fondling at Customs by wearing extra metallic things so I can BEEP.. (shhh.. I didn’t say that out loud). All these hints WILL make sense to you at the end of this journey. I promise.

OMG.. I can’t believe how OLD my little nee nee loo loo laa laa (pet name) is today. She marched into my bedroom at about 6:00 am and says
“Mummy?”
me with one eye half open “yes Jay?”
“are you PROUD o’ me?”
“I’m ALWAYS proud of you Jay.. why should I be proud of you today?”
“cuz I am SIX today! Are you proud of me?”
I felt like saying.. “i’m more proud of MYSELF for you making it to 6″…LOLOL.. but instead I said
“of COURSE I am proud of you!!!”
