A true SISTAH

Sistahs, you must read this post and if you don’t already KNOW Lauren, I think it is IMPERATIVE that you meet her… Lauren Meader, that is.  Please read her story and learn what she is all about.  I have been an avid reader of her blog and admirer for many moons.  Her talent is INCREDULOUS (word?) and her style cannot be beat… her personality exudes on her blog and just makes you fall in love with her.

This morning I was inundated with emails from sistahs telling me “did you see Lauren’s card?”, “it BLEW me away”.. DIDJA SEE IT? HUH HUH HUH?  So with my coffee in hand I sat at my computer and read Lauren’s post.  Of course the card was the usual Lauren style, but the content of her post was even MORE meaningful.  Lauren basically visually exemplefied what the true meaning of BELLA is… of what Bella was intended to be or mean to everyone around us.. that Bella, regardless of what she looks like, exudes a persona that can be identified with.. and that is what her card and her post are about.  About her MOM.. a mom who has many different functions and meanings in our lives.

Please read it.

Lauren, you have outdone yourself and kudos to you sistah for putting the “feeling” and true meaning  of ” bella” on a card for all of us to enjoy.

Mwah to da sistahs who may be sniffling along with me as I write this post

Em

I’m so happy that a lot of the Sistah’s have had the opportunity to view Lauren’s magnificant creation in honour of her Mom. With just a few simple stamped images and colour, Lauren has created a story board that represents her Mother’s life. I’ve been a fan for over a year, and have watched Lauren blossom into this amazing creative energy that obviously has no limits in what she can accomplish. Lauren constantly astonishes me as to how she continues to come up with such innovative concepts. And the *Best* thing of all ~~ Lauren inspires me. 🙂

MWAAHHHH to Lauren & All The Sistah’s that Strive to be Better 🙂

I saw this card and all I could say is, WOW! There are days that I feel bad about “just being a mom”. I think about all the other things I could do if I had more “me” time. Seeing Lauren’s card reminded me that the best, most honorable and funnest job in the world is being a MOM! 🙂

Lauren is a WONDERFUL person with creativity in every cell of her body!!
She gives me joy with every post; this card is so full of emotion and probably the most wonderful card a mother could EVER receive.

Emily, your stamps are FABULOUS!!! Just look at what you’ve given us to work with. Keep up the GREAT work.

I just discovered Lauren’s blog and for once in my life (for all who know me) I am speechless! Her card is absolute perfection. The highest compliment I can give is what I call a “Standing Ovation Creation” – this card deserves such an honour.

Lauren you are a true artist!
    Cheers to you,

Lauren & I were new to SCS about the same time and stumbled across each other… She wanted to know how to do a shaker (which I knew how to do) and I wanted to know how to do a waterfall (which she knew how to do) so we did our own little swap. I have watched her grow into the most amazing stamper I’ve ever seen. She never ceases to amaze me! She gives so much of herself no matter what is going on in her own life and she’s truly an inspiration. I told her way back that someday she’d be “famous” and I could say “I knew her back when”… LOL. I am so very proud to call her my friend (that I’ve never met IRL!)

And thanks Em for a wonderful line of stamps!!

ps…Is there a Volleyballabella in the near future?!?! 🙂

I, too, enjoyed her card. However, it leads me to raise a question I have had for a while not: have you ever found any stamp sets, brands, or companies that use african american/black women in their stamp images? All the sets I’ve seen in Stampin’ Up, Hannah stamps, and Bella stamps are primarily of caucasians. Could you help me find some that are more diverse in demographic representation? I know there has to be some somewhere, but I’m struggling with finding them. Let me know if any of the sites you have seen when blog-surfing have something like that or not. I can’t believe how hard it is to find! You would think this would be easy, right?
