Hello friends!
Amy here with a new Scenic Saturday card to share. My current card making mood has been leaning towards Valentine’s Day, or rather more general themes of love and friendship. So it was that theme which I had in mind when searching for a stamp to be the star of the show today. When I came across Curvy Girl Vet, I fell in love with her armful of furry friends but I didn’t need a vet themed card. I wasn’t going to let that stop me from inking her up though.
When it came down to it, transforming this Curvy Girl Vet into a more generic cat lover was as easy as wiping the ink from the pocket on her shirt that held her stethoscope then simply drawing in the missing line. From there, just coloring her pants as jeans and adding a stripe print to the shirt transformed her scrubs into a cute and casual outfit. To help create a simple indoor background I stamped the floor lamp from the retired Room Decor Lamp and Frames set, slightly behind Curvy Girl. This, along with the little mouse shaped cat toy that I sketched onto the floor, were all I needed to set the cozy scene. The large sentiment was stamped onto an oversized word bubble die cut that fills the entire top half of the card for a fun change up to my usual scenes. Before gluing it to the card front I used a pair of scissors to cut down around Curvy Girl’s head, allowing me to tuck the large word bubble behind her. A sprinkling of enamel hearts floating around these furry friends adds to the love theme that I initially set out to create. I hope this inspires you to look at the stamps in your Bella stash, that with a simple twist or two, can be transformed into something completely new. 🙂
Stay crafty my friends!

Happy Friday! Time for some fabulous card-making inspiration from our Bellarific Babes. But first, a little news…
Our RETIREMENT SALE is still on, and we have limited inventory available! All stamps available are 50% off – prices have already been adjusted, no need for a code.
We have had some emails asking if we’re closing! The answer to that is a simple NO! We simply need to retire some designs occasionally, to make room for all of the new stamps. In fact, the next release is in production as I type, and I’ll have that and more happy news for you in the next few weeks. We are also in the process of dealing with the necessary details for the EU GPSR so that we can resume shipping to EU countries.
On to the inspiration! This week the Babes had a sketch to work with. Here it is – feel free to play along and share the results with us.
Steph created this fabulous Valentines Day card!
Jenny went with one of our adorable Tiny Townie Wonderland collection stamps for this fantastic card!
Ginger went with Easter – it will be here before you know it!
Sandra created an absolutely wonderful card featuring one of our famous Oddballs.
Such a sweet and supportive card for a friend from Michele! LOVE the paper pieced elements.
I love the way Delphine combines adorable images with a mixed media feel.
Last but by no means least, Debra cleverly repurposed the girl from one of our Amy Glatiotis Collection stamps, for this fun card. Love the splash of colour highlighting the character.
That’s it for today! Hopefully you’re feeling inspired to go and create. Don’t forget to leave us a comment below with some love for our Babes and all their hard work.
