It’s Thursday with Sandiebella

Hiya sistahs, happy Thursday with Sandiebella !

Today Sandiebella teaches us how to make a Double Diagonal Fold Card

Supplies:
Card
Paper (P13: Let’s Flamingale)
Scoring board and bone folder
Double Stitched Fancy Square Dies
Adhesive
Foam tape/dots
How to:
Stamp Bundle Girl Beekeeper onto white card and stamp some bees separately. Colour using  your preferred medium then fussy cut around the outline of the bees only.

Using the dies, cut a square (approx 3″) from black card. Using the same die, cut out the Bundle Girl, then trim down by cutting away the stitching. Adhere the image to the black card then set aside.
Stamp the sentiment into the centre of a 3.75″ piece of white card, then stamp a single bee. Set aside.

To make the card base, cut one piece of card measuring 8.5″ square. Line up diagonally on a scoring board with the top and bottom points in the 6″ groove. The point on the left side will also be around the 6″ mark.

Holding the card in place, score at 2″, 4″, 8″ and 10″.

Turn the card one quarter turn and position what were side points along the 6″ groove. Score again at 2″, 4″, 8″ and 10″.

Turn the card face down and fold back all 4 corners on the first score line. Burnish well.

Turn the card face up, and fold back on the four inner score lines.

Fold the card up by closing in the top and bottom sections, then the side sections on top. Use a bone folder to crease the lines well.

Cut two pieces of card measuring 2-7/8″ square, and two pieces of paper measuring 2.75″ square. Cut them all on the diagonal, then adhere a piece of paper to each card triangle.

Adhere the triangle panels to the inside of the card.

Cut eight pieces of card measuring 1-7/8″ x 3-7/8″. Cut eight pieces of paper measuring 1.75″ x 3.75″ – four of one design and four of a contrasting design.

Turn the card over to the back and adhere four of the panels to the middle sections.

Turn back over and adhere down the four panels of contrasting design.
Adhere the sentiment panel in the centre.

Fold up and crease all the score lines again.

Cut a piece of card measuring 1.25″ x 10″. Use a bone folder to curl it.

Fold gently around the card leaving space so as not to catch the outer points of the triangles. Adhere the ends together to make a belly band

Cover the front and back of the belly band with contrasting paper.

Retrieve the image panel and using a bone folder, curve the image slightly.

Apply adhesive to the middle of the belly band, then adhere the image panel to it – centering horizontally and vertically.

To decorate, adhere the bees using foam tape/dots.
