It’s SCENIC TUESDAY with AMYBELLA!

www.stampingbella.com : rubber stamp used EDGAR AND MOLLY VINTAGE COLLECTION card by Amy Young

Hello bellas, Amy here and it’s time for another Scenic Saturday. As I sat down to stamp yesterday, I started to think ahead to Easter and when I looked at the calendar I was a bit shocked to see that it lands so early in April this year. This prompted me to make a card for the holiday and while I could have gone with any number of the super cute Easter specific images at Stamping Bella the Edgar and Molly Vintage images caught my eye instead. I just love the way these stamps riff off of the old Dick and Jane books, lending a nostalgic vibe to every card you make with them. While none of the Edgar and Molly sets are Easter stamps I figured I could still put together a sweet spring scene by mixing and matching a few together. So I grabbed the girl and the lamb from the Vintage Balloon set, the boy from the Vintage Bench set and the chicks from the Vintage Farm Birds set. The little chicks come as a single stamp but I cut them apart so that I could add as many as I wanted, wherever I wanted, including the one that I masked into the girl’s hand. Once I had them all stamped into place I just needed to color in scene for them to live in and with all those baby farm animals a barn seemed appropriate. I love how it looks like the little girl is quite tickled with her Easter surprise while her brother there looks as if he would have rather gotten a basket full of Easter eggs, LOL!

Well thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope your weekend is a crafty one!

  1. This is a fantastic scene! I love that you used several different stamp sets to build the scene. Great job!

  2. This scene takes me back to my childhood with my Nana on the farm.
Love the sweet innocents here. Can almost smell the memories.
    Thanks for sharing !
