www.stampingbella.com: rubber stamp used : UPTOWN GIRL SNAPSHOT I HEART YOU- card by Tamara Potocznik

Hi!
Tamara here with you. Today it’s my besties’  birthday and I made a Birthday card for you. What can be more perfect than a Stamping Bella image of two friends  (Uptown Girls – Snapshots I heart You)?!
She’s blonde (light brown) and she loves blue so you can figure it out which one is she, hehe … I really, really love the sentiment with this image. My first idea was to use this image and then a few different sentiments added to the inside of the card, but then I changed my mind and only used this one. It’s perfect.

Image and sentiment were stamped using Archival Ink on watercolour paper. Image was coloured using Distress ink pads.

Distress colours used:
skin: vintage photo
hair: antique linen, walnut stain, ground espresso
blue shirt: stormy sky, black soot
white shirt: black soot
background: weathered wood, black soot
frame: black soot

I didn’t add a lot of die cuts or embellishments because I love this paper and it goes perfectly with the image.

That’s all from me today.

Hugs, t.

  1. Absolutely gorgeous card! Also the reminder I needed today since I’m going thru a rough spell and crafting keeps me sane. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful card.

  2. This is stunning…..for so many reasons!!! The thing that really catches me is that we so often go with the bright eye catching colors; yet this is soft, subtle and has a sweetness to it that would not be conveyed with bright colors. It is a great reminder that we are conveying more than the sentiment on the card or even the figures with the colors we choose. We are evoking a feeling. You really did a beautiful job with that.

  3. Hi, this is my first comment here! I LOVE all. of. this!!! But mostly my question is what’s the background paper? Thanks for sharing!!
