Thursday with Sandiebella: Create an Arrow Fold Card

Supplies:

Card
Patterned papers
Circle and Scalloped Circle Die
Scoring board and bone folder
Adhesive
Foam tape/dots
 
How to:
Cut one piece of card measuring 12″ x 6″ and score at the 6″ to make a 6″ x 6″ card base.

With the inside of the card facing down, measure across 3″ along the bottom and mark with a pencil.

Measure up 2″ and 4″ on each side and mark with a pencil.

Score from at the 6″, 4″ and 2″ diagonally to the 3″ pencil mark at the bottom, on both sides as shown.

With the inside of the card facing up, fold the 6″ scoreline inwards, the 4″ out and the 2″ in.

Repeat on both sides, as shown

*Optional: apply some adhesive and stick the 2″ section to the 4″ section.

Turn over and fold the top down.

Cut 2 pieces of card measuring 5.5″wide  x 5 5/8″ tall. On the bottom of the 5.5″ side, mark the centre (2.75″) with a pencil.

Cut both pieces diagonally, from the outer edges to the 2.75″ pencil mark.

Set one set aside.

The centre triangle fits on the front of the card

and the outer sections go on the inside as shown.

Cut a piece of double sided patterned paper measuring 5″wide x 5 3/8″ tall, and mark on the bottom of the 5″ at 2.5″.

Cut diagonally from the outer edges to the pencil mark.

Adhere the centre triangle to the card front.

Adhere the outer sections to the inside of the card, on top of the card triangles.

Retrieve the second centre triangle and stick down between the outer sections.

Stamp the Blossom #7 (small) and Blossom #9 (small) on white card, using the masking technique to layer them. Colour with your desired medium.

Fussy cut around the blossoms and use a craft knife to cut away any centre pieces.

Cut a 2.75″ circle and 3″ scalloped circle and adhere them together.

Using foam tape/dots, adhere the flowers onto the circles.

Cut the smallest of the Celebrate Word Dies and adhere to the top left of the centre triangle.

Using more foam tape/dots, adhere the circles down onto the card front.

Embellish as desired. I simply added a little bow, made from scrappers floss, across the stems of the flowers.

  1. I love this card but I don’t own a die cutter. It’s very neat the way the card is folded. I wish I could make this card.
