Time for some DT Thursday fun with Sandiebella!

Oddball Santa Christmas Checklist

Stamping Bella DT Thursday: Create a Christmas Checklist with Sandiebella!

Supplies:

Oddball Santa and the Missus rubber stamp
3.75″ square checklist or post-it-note pad
Red/white card
Circle dies
Corner rounder
Elastic ribbon
Scoring board and bone folder
Scissors
Adhesive and 3D foam tape/dots

Hole punch.

How to:

Cut one piece of red card measuring 8.75″ x 4″ and score on the long side at 4″, 4.25″ and 4.5″

Fold on the centre scoreline and cut 2 slits up to the outer scorelines. This is where the pencil will go so there’s no need to be exact in positioning.

Fold the sections under and over the pencil holder inwards and fold the pencil holder outwards.

Apply adhesive between the second and third scoreline, as shown, and adhere down onto the inside base.

Round the corners on each end.

Cut:

White card:
3x  3.75″ x 3.75″
1x  4″ x 3.75″ (outside back)
Patterned paper:
2x  3 5/8″ x 3 5/8″
1x  3 7/8″ x 3 5/8″ (outside back)

Round one end of the white card and patterned paper and adhere the paper to the white card.

Adhere one of the panels inside the front and, on the inside back, adhere only a piece of white card.

*Note – do not adhere the panel to the outside back of the base yet.

Adhere the front panel and add layers as desired.

Using a crop-a-dile or similar, punch 2 holes in the back.

Thread the elastic ribbon through the holes, from the back.

Position the checklist pad on top of the ribbon – do not stick it down

Close over the front and bring the ribbon around. Adjust the length until it fits snugly but not too tight. Once you are happy with the fit, open it up and secure the ribbon ends on the inside with some double sided tape.

Apply adhesive to the back of the pad and stick it down over the ribbon.

Press down firmly to ensure a good bond with the base.

Adhere the back panel.

Stamp Oddball Santa onto white card and use a 3″ circle die to cut it out.

Colour Santa with your preferred medium.

Cut a larger circle, approx 3.5″ and mat the image.

Turn over apply double sided tape, leaving a little of the left side (which will the right side when it’s turned back over) without tape. This leaves room to slide the ribbon under.

Add any embellishments.

Stick the image down in the centre, insert a pencil, and embellish as desired.

  1. Sandie, I love your creative mind. Going to give this a whirl. Would you consider making a box to fit A2 cards in for giving? I’m always at a loss for a package to gift my cards, when giving several at a time.

Would you please consider making an A2 box, big enough for a few cards? I’m always in a bind for presenting/gifting several cards for a birthday etc. Thank you for sharing your beautiful talent. Merry Christmas.
