Stamping Bella DT Thursday: Create an Oddball Vampire Coffin Treat Box with Sandiebella!

Supplies:

12″x12″ Black card
Kraft card
Ruler and pencil
Scoring board and bone folder
Perforator blade or rotary perforator (optional)
Halloween patterned papers
Adhesive
3D foam tape/dots

How to:

Box top (sides):
Cut a strip of black card measuring 1 1/8″ x 14 1/8″. You will need to cut diagonally on the 12×12″ card to get the 14 1/8″.
Score  or use a perforator at 1.75″, 5 1/8″, 6 7/8″, 8.5″ and 10.75″ on the long side, and score/perforate at 3/4″ on the short side.
With the 3/4″ at the bottom, notch each side of the vertical scorelines above the horizontal scoreline to make tabs, as shown.

Box bottom (sides):

Cut a piece of black card (again, diagonally) measuring 13 5/8″ x 2 1/4″
Score/perforate on the long side at 1/2″, 2 1/8″, 5 3/8″, 7 1/8″, 8.75″ and 10 3/8″, and on the short side at 1.75″

With the 1.75″ towards the bottom, notch each side of the vertical scorelines above the horizontal scoreline to make tabs, as shown.

Cut a piece of black card measuring 5 1/8″ x 2 5/8″.

Measure in 0.5″ from each side, top and bottom, and 1.75″ down on each side. Cut from the 1.75″ mark to each of the 0.5″ marks to make the coffin top.

Using this piece as a guide, make smaller layers as desired.

Cut a piece of black card measuring 4 7/8″ x 2.5″.
Measure in 0.5″ from each side, top and bottom, and 1 5/8″ down on each side. Cut from the 1 5/8″ mark to each of the 0.5″ marks to make the coffin bottom.

Make as many layers for the top of the box as desired.

You will need one for the inside of both the top and bottom.

To assemble the bottom of the box, take the long piece of card and adhere the coffin shape to the middle section of the three smaller sections, between the long sections.

Apply glue to each tab and stick it to the coffin shape.

Apply adhesive to the smaller coffin shape and adhere inside the bottom to cover and secure the tabs.

Repeat for the top of the box, also adhering any layers desired.

Adhere one of the layers inside the top to cover and secure the tabs.

Assembled box.

Stamp the image out onto white card and colour with your preferred medium.

Fussy cut the image, or use the coordinating die to cut out it.

Adhere the image to the front of the coffin.

Stamp the sentiment onto some card, fish tail the ends, and adhere across the image.
Fill the box with your favourite Halloween candy to make the perfect spooky treat!
