Supplies:
Scalloped circle dies (4″)
Circle dies (3.75″ and 3.5″)
Stitched oval dies (approx 4″ tall)
Red and white card
Christmas themed papers
White and red ribbon
Scoring board and bone folder
Adhesive

Cut four scalloped circles from the red card and score each of them in half.

Fold and crease well with a bone folder

Cut two 3.75″ circles from white card and cut both in half.

Cut two 3.5″ circles patterned paper and cut each in half. Keep in mind that one needs to be cut vertically and one needs to be cut horizontally.

Adhere a piece of patterned paper to each of the white half circles.

Adhere the panels to the scalloped circles as shown.

Taking the top and left hand side circles, which will have the patterened paper adhered to the bottom and right side of the circles, flip them over so that the inside is facing up.

Apply a small dab of glue to the top piece

Adhere the side piece, lining up the scorelines

Repeat for the bottom piece

For the last piece, tuck it under the top circle, and over the bottom circle, as shown here.

Carefully fold in the top and bottom flaps, and then fold the side flaps to ensure they close.

Once you’re happy with the fit, carefully lift each circle and apply some wet glue to secure the circles together.

Cut a piece of white card measuring 3 7/8″ square for the inside of the card. Decorate with a 1″ x 3 7/8″ strip of coordinating patterned paper.

Stamp the sentiment and adhere to the strip of paper, just on each end, so that a gift card or money can be slipped behind it.

Cut a strip of red card measuring 1.5″ x 9.5″, centre it on the front of the card and wrap it around.

Apply double sided tape or wet glue to one end and adhere to the other end at the back.

Cut two strips of patterned paper measuring 3 7/8″ x 1 3/8″ and adhere to the front and back of the belly band.

Stamp the image onto white card and colour with your desired medium. Cut out using the 4″ tall oval die.

Depending on the weight of your white paper or card, you may want to cut a second oval from white card and adhere them together.

Layer the white and red ribbon together. There is no need to glue them.

Turn the ribbons over and place the card on top.

Wrap the ribbon around and tie a bow on the far right side.

You can move it into position as it’s not glued down.

Apply some adhesive just to the belly band and adhere the image, covering the ribbon.

The belly band slides off to reveal the inside of the card.

  1. I love this! I wish I had a die cutter but I know I have a circle punch so I will see how big it is. I might actually be able to make this one! Wish me luck!
