Embellishments
White card:
1 piece @ 4.25″ x 11″. Fold in half to create A2 card base.
1 piece @ 3.5″ x 8″
1 piece @ 3.5″ x 11″
1 piece @ 4″ x 5.25″
Patterned paper
Inside:
2 pieces @ 4″ x 5.25″
4 pieces @ 2.5″x 3.25″
Outside:
1 piece @ 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
To make the twist and pop mechanism, take the 3.5″ x 8″ piece of white card and score down the middle at 1.75″, on the 3.5″ side.
Measure in 2″ from each end, on both sides of the card piece. Mark with a pencil.
Score diagonally to create a X
Fold and crease all score lines, folding both ways to create flexibility in the card.
With the card folded along the 1.75″ line, press in the side and fold the side section back. Repeat for the other side to create piece as shown. Set aside.
To make the inside focal piece, take the 3.5″ x 11″ piece of card and score at 2.75″, 5.5″ and 8.25″
Glue down the 2 inside panels of patterned paper.
Apply wet glue or DS tape to one side of the pop up mechanism as shown and adhere to the card base, ensuring the point is lined up with the centre marking.
When you open up the card, it should look like this.
Stamp the image onto white card and cut out with a circle die, before colouring.
Adhere the circles to the card front using 3D foam tape. Embellish as desired.

Holy Cow this one takes the cake! I think my brain just exploded! How amazing is this card! Oh so much math…. do I dare try it? That is just too cool to not try!
Oh what a unique card! I just might have to try this one! Love it! 🙂
Wow, what an amazing card! I don’t think I will ever make one like this but it was nice to be able to see it. Thanks for showing it to us.
Okay, I am typing my comment again because when I send, it said I needed to send a comment, which I wrote before I hit send. What is going on with your site?
Anyway, I love the card a lot. Will I make one like it? Probably not. It looks to complicated to me even though you were very good at explaining how to do it. I don’t have a die cutter either. Thanks for showing us how to make one though.
