Hello Friends, It’sKathy here today. Have you ever been in a pinch and had to make a quick card? It’s pretty easy and quick to stamp a background, color it, add some vellum and that’s pretty much it in a nutshell.
If you are the kinda person that wants more details here ya go.
I inked this trio of cactus with some VersaFine black Onyx ink on some Tim Holtz watercolor paper. It’s super easy to do a quick wash of watercolor with some Zig clean brush markers. To dry the coloring I sped up the process with my heat gun and trimmed some vellum to glue on top of my background.
I tucked my background with the vellum in a book to dry why I colored the cactus for the top of my card.
Another large cactus was stamped, colored & cut. I stamped the sentiment on some scrap watercolor paper and cut a talk bubble … free form … and added some foam tape to the talk bubble and cactus. Assembled the card and I was finished. One more thing… to add that little extra touch on your card … color some twine with a marker and tie it around an arm on the cactus.
I hope this might take the fear out of creating a quick card. Thanks for your visit today. Hugs, Kathy
