DT Thursday: Create a Centre Step Wedding Card with Sandiebella

Happy Thursday! Sandiebella has another fab card project for you to recreate, featuring one of our awesome new stamp releases and the coordinating Cut It Out die set.

Centre Step Wedding Card

Supplies: 

White card
Patterned paper
Scoring board & bone folder
Craft knife
Embellishments of choice.

Step by Step:

Cut one piece of white card measuring 5.5″ x 11″. Score on the 11″ side, 1″ down,  at 1″, 2″ and 6.5″

From the bottom, score 1″ upwards at 1″, 2″ and 6.5″

Make another score at 5.5″, in between the 1″ scorelines, as shown.

Using a craft knife, or paper cutters, cut on the inner 1″ lines, starting at the 1″ line and ending at the 6.5″ line, as shown.

Mountain/valley fold so that the centre is stepped out.

Cut one piece of white card measuring 3 3/8″ x 4 3/8″, 2 pieces measuring 7/8″ x 4 3/8″ and one piece measuring 7/8″ x 5 3/8″

Cut 2 pieces of contrasting patterned papers measuring 4.25″ x 3.25″, 2 pieces measuring 4.25″ x 0.75″ and one piece measuring 0.75″x 5.25″

Adhere all the patterned paper pieces to the white card, cutting the 2 pieces for the centre as desired.

Adhere each panel onto the card base, as shown.

Stamp the image onto white card and colour using your preferred medium.

Cut the image out using the CUT IT OUT die

Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of card measuring 5.25″ x 4.25″ and adhere to the inside back panel of the card base.

Add some layers, using tags, circles and heart dies, then adhere the image down using 3D foam tape/dots.

Embellish as desired to finish the card.

  2. I love this card! It’s so adorable! I don’t know anybody who is getting married so I won’t be making this card but you gave such detailed directions that if I wanted to make this card, I could. You’re coloring is spot on too!
