DT Thursday – Create a Fabulous Tent Card with Sandiebella
It’s time for another DT Thursday post from Sandiebella. This week Sandie is showing us how to create a lovely TENT CARD – great for any occasion! Click through for the full step by step tutorial.
Circle and Scalloped circle dies
Scoring board and bone folder
Lace, trim & pearls
Step by Step:
Cut one piece of white card measuring 5.75″ x 11.5″ and one piece measuring 5.75″ x 4″
Score the 11.5″ piece at 5.75″ and fold in half to make the card base.
Open up the 5.75″ card base and, taking the circle die, cut a circle from the front part of the card, to create the window.
Cut 2 pieces of white card measuring 5.5″ square and 2 coordinating pieces of patterned paper measuring 5.25″ square.
Adhere the patterned paper to the white card.
Take one of the panels and line it up inside the card front. Using a pencil, draw a circle to mark where the window is.
Place the circle die directly over the pencil mark and run it your die cutting machine. Adhere to the front of the card.
Adhere the panel to the front of the card.
Cut a scalloped circle in contrasting patterned paper and, using the same die as for the window, cut the circle out of the middle. This creates a frame for the window.
Adhere using wet glue.
Score the 5.75″ x 4″ piece, on the 4″ side, at 1″, 2″ and 3″.
Mountain/Valley fold, ensuring the centre fold is up (mountain).
Apply double sided tape to each of the outside 1″ sections.
Remove the backing from the tape on one side, line up the first fold of the folded cardstock with the bottom of the inside back of the card. Burnish with a bone folder.
Adhere the inside panel.
Stamp the image and colour it with your preferred medium.
Using a larger circle die than for the window, cut out the image, first trimming the paper so that any overlapping part of the image is popped up over the die.
Run through your die-cutting machine.
Cut another circle of white card, using the same die, and adhere the image to it.
Lift the front of the card and position the image behind the window.
Once you are happy with the placement, apply some glue to the back of the image and adhere down.
Remove the backing from the tape on the other side of the bottom piece and adhere to the inside front.
Stamp the sentiment and cut out using a small circle die, ensuring the sentiment is more into the top half. Cut off the bottom of the circle and position behind ribbon/trim. Add some pearls to finish.

Great card and I have that stamp. The problem is I don’t have a die cutter so I can’t make this card. I like the colors you used on the stamp too. Everyone does such nice job on here with coloring and stamping and card making.
